  1. Aguilar Tone Hammer 350 for sale  SOLD

I took this amp in exchange for something I was selling a few months back. Silly really as I didn't need yet another bass amp. I've gigged it a couple of times, it sounds great, plenty of power on tap and does exactly what it says on the tin. Condition is immaculate. Weighs in at a whopping 4lb 10oz and that includes the gig bag and mains lead so you'll save yourself a fortune on chiropractor fees. Not looking for trades as I need to cull the collection.

Price is £330 posted or £320 collected from Alcester, near Stratford on Avon where you're welcome to come and try the amp out for yourself. Tea and biscuits thrown in.

Any questions please feel free to pm me. Thanks for looking.

  2. Just bought a case off Martyn. Nice smooth transaction, just like you want it to be and the item was received promptly and well packaged. An asset to the BC community and yet one more good reason why BC is the best place to trade.

    Thanks again Martyn.

  6. Sold - Genz Benz Streamliner 600 for sale - Sold

I have owned this for a couple of years and used it as a back-up for my other Streamliner 600. It has been used regularly at rehearsals and the occasional gig where I didn't want to lug my main rig around. It has been 100% reliable. Cosmetically it is not at its best but none the less a great workhorse. The previous owner has spray painted the top and bottom panels, presumably to hide some scratches etc. I have tried to polish this to improve the finish with a moderate degree of success. The cosmetic deficiencies are reflected in the price. The blue LEDs have also been sorted by myself and everything works on the amp exactly as it should.

Please take a look at the photos for a better description.

Price is £275 posted or £265 collected from Alcester, near Stratford on Avon where you're welcome to come and try the amp out for yourself. Tea and biscuits thrown in.

Any questions please feel free to pm me. Thanks for looking.

  7. By chance I happened to pick up a couple of AKG C5900 condenser mics a few years ago and fell completely in love with them. They are streets ahead of the SM58 in terms of clarity, fullness of sound and feedback rejection. Whenever I see one now selling for a reasonable price I snap it up. A couple of years ago I A/B'd the C5900 against the D5 which I have to say I wasn't overly impressed with.

The Sennheiser E365 also gets my vote. Once again its a condenser mic and comes a close second to the AKG C5900.

Interestingly I have an original SM58 made in the USA and a few years ago made a direct comparison to the Mexican SM58 and found it was quite different in that the Mexican version had less clarity and presence and tended to overload easier. It is certainly a step backwards in terms of performance.

  8. Behringer Eurorack UB802 Mini Mixer for sale, complete with power supply.

It has 6 channel input, 2 mic and 4 line. 3 band eq, and FX send. I also provides phantom power for condenser mics etc.

All works as it should and is clean and in very good condition. I used it as a facility to patch in an Ipod into the PA system whilst we were breaking down the main mixing desk.

Price £35 £28 which includes postage with UK.- Now sold

  9. This doesn't directly answer your request for a schematic for the AH600SMX but you can download schematics for other Trace amps here . I have looked at the DI stage in the GP12X pre-amp circuit and it looks a fairly standard configuration using two halves of a TL072 op amp. Then looking at a schematic from an Ashdown amp this configuration seems almost identical so I would hazard a guess there is a fairly strong chance that the AH600SMX isn't going to be too different to this.

That may help to give you some pointers in the absence of the actual circuit diagram.

  10. Fender sell a gig bag for the Coronado which is their part number 099-1622-206. On the basis that my Fender Coronado fits in the JC Epiphone hard case I think there is a good chance that the Jack Casady will fit in the Fender gig bag. Having said that the Fender gig bag is again not all that easy to come across, but it may broaden your options.

  11. For sale £25 - posted within the UK.

What I think is a cheap and cheerful Encore  P Bass neck for sale. Bought for a project a while ago but now had a change of plan.

42mm wide at the neck, 63mm wide at the heel, 18mm dia holes for the tuners.

Truss rod turns fine, one or two nibbles out the headstock and the 11th to 15th frets could do with a bit of a dress as they have been graunched up a bit with roundwound strings. Other than that it does what is supposed to.

Let me know if you need any other info or photos. Thanks.

  13. Sold- Two straps for sale, £12.50 each, includes postage within UK. - Sold

The first is made by Levy's. It's a fairly hard brown leather, 6.5cm wide. is in good condition with minimal use.

The second is an unbranded suede leather strap, a Red wine / Burgundy colour, very soft and pliable. Measures 6.3cm wide. I used this on my Warwick Thumb in order to help compensate for the famous neck-dive that the bass is infamous for and it worked a treat. Again in good condition.
