  1. Bought some strings off Andy. Smooth transaction, very helpful and pleased with the purchase. Received in the post the next day. A credit to the BC community.

    Thanks again Andy.

  2. Price now £125 for the pair

Add a bit of movement to your stage lighting with a pair of Martin SCX 500 scanners for sale. Brief spec is as follows -

    • Automatic triggering and music triggering modes
    • DMX controllable, choice of 6- or 8-channel DMX control modes
    • 12 pre-programmed macros
    • 15 full colours (including white)
    • 16 gobos
    • 180° pan and 72° tilt
    • 15° beam angle
    • 150 watt long-life halogen lamp

Both units working ok. Good lamps and clean optics. Can be used stand alone in Auto trigger or sound trigger. Can also be DMX controlled.

Pick up only from Alcester (B49) as I don't want to go breaking the mirrors.

    Any questions please ask.

  3. Sold - A pair of LED - RGB Stage blinders for sale. Several options to control these, either dmx, sound activated or pre-programmed sequence. Can be hung with the pipe clamp or floor mounted so quite versatile for smaller pub gigs.

I've not been able to find any spec on these on the internet so unable to provide any wattage etc.

Would prefer pick-up from south Warwickshire as they the pair are quite heavy and I don't have sufficient packing materials to protect them in carriage.

    Any questions please ask.

  4. Bought a gig bag off Chris. He couldn't have been more understanding and helpful in sorting out the transaction for me. The bag arrived super quick and exceptionally well packaged.

A genuine asset to the BC community.

    Thanks again Chris.

  5. P Bass body which I purchased a while back with the intention of making up a bitsa. The previous owner had widened the neck pocket to fit a 5 string neck and I was going to reconstruct it to take a 4 string neck.

With too many projects on the go at the moment it need to go to someone who can make use of it. The body is nice and light weighing in at a smidge over 3lbs.

    Can post at cost.

  6. I'm just about to fit one of these string adapters to my headless bass so that I can use Ernie Ball Cobalts on it. Does anyone have any tips or advice before I go ahead with this? My main concern is if it is ok to trim the top of the string flush with the adapter so there are no sharp string ends exposed and that the flats don't start to unwind.

    Thanks in advance.

  7. Several years ago when playing in a small function band we used a Yamaha MDF2 with an MU50 sequencer for keys fill. That worked well for us and was very reliable. Looking on the internet at second hand units they seem to be holding their value so a more cost effective option for you could be to get a cheap laptop, load it up with an older version of Cakewalk or other similar midi software and get a USB to midi interface, something like an Erirol UM-1SX which will then connect to your Alesis module.

  8. Has anyone come across a head piece replacement such as this - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185589296645 but for a 5 string? I am aware of the 5 string adaptor which sits on top of the original head piece but this looks a far tidier option. Nothing has come up on a Google search.

I can contact the seller to see if a 5 string version could be made but the cost for the 4 string with postage already looks a bit heavy so prefer to investigate any alternatives which could be out there.

    Thanks.
