Just had my Vintage Stingray copy converted to passive and just have the other 2 pots left as dummies.

I know that the Roto takes a gig bag inside of it but, having never seen one, was wondering if they would accept a semi rigid inside as a second line of defence, possibly like the G4M own brand ones which are good value in their own right.

Obviously there are a multitude of variables but pondering, if you were to walk in to an unfamiliar rehearsal room, what would be the settings you would put on the amps eq as a starting point? I would normally boost the bass slight boost on high mids and slightly cut treble and the rest flat. Wondering what others would do and how much of that is dictated by genre.

At my shop, when open, I pick the music and the album which gets the most bemused looks from 'yoofs' is probably Zappa's Ship Arriving Too Late To Save A Drowning Witch.

Chose 3: The Who, Won't Get Fooled Again, Sid Vicious version of My Way and Carter USM's version of The Impossible Dream.

I set mine from the 10th fret as I use a pound coin to gauge which is 2.8mm.

Thanks, the Pressurewounds have a lot less of the 'crown' flattened than I thought they would,(my favourite strings),I expected them to look more like the TIs based on feel. Interesting.

Be interested to see how some Pressurewounds would compare.

White P with black scratch plate not mentioned? Paul Simonon, Sid, DeeDee etc. (And a black headstock for my taste).

I have a Retrovibe Evo I picked up used and is my favourite bass. Despite buying used, a quick message to David Kronig, the designer, got a swift, friendly and helpful response. The Evo I own is a much better instrument, to me, than some I've played with price tags many times more than mine. Was planning on getting a white one of these, (ideally with a black scratchplate) soon but as I am Self Employed, that is now very unlikely. If you go for it, I will be jealous!

When I saw Squeeze at the Sage in Gateshead a couple of years ago, they put the legendary John Cooper Clarke on first. Hard to beat that.

Always thought that the more people consider these type of lyrics, the better. Admirable version by Siouxsie and the Banshees.
