  1. I could go all over the place with this one. I'm 70 and all my bandmates are in their 30s. I never mention or bring up anything relative to my generation. I figure at 70 and you can get a woman in her 30s to come within 5 feet of you you're doing good. Lol Daryl
  2. Your drummer listens to bass? Sometimes I wonder how important bass is to the rest of the band. It seems like they're focusing for the most part on their own individual performance. Daryl
  3. Very nice rig. Daryl
  4. No gigs this weekend. I was with my first grandchild. Daryl
  5. Just another Ppic of my favorite bass guitar. Daryl
  6. Me too. Daryl
  7. The jack is always removed and the switches in the " off" position. Daryl
  8. My tip for everyone. Don't buy batteries for your gear at The Dollar Store. Lol Daryl
  9. That's worth considering. However I wouldn't want to compromise the transparency of the factory configuration. It's so seamless and quiet. Daryl
  10. Nice job! Daryl
  11. Mine is a 1994 ASAT. Definitely doesn't work in passive. I had it fail miserably at a gig once. I don't ever want to go through that again. Daryl
  12. I have to put a fresh 9 volt in my 1994 G&L ASAT Bass with active pre amp before every gig. It won't play in passive mode if the battery is dead. Daryl
  13. I like being wireless and having a decent size stage too. During sound checks I mark off three spots on stage II will shift on and off to. Daryl
  14. Dave, Here's a pic from last weekend at the Waukesha Blues Festival. Always wireless. Daryl
  15. We played from 5:30- 8:00. Not much of a crowd. It's a restaurant and live music is an after thought. We we're tight and I was happy with my playing. We actually tried some new material we covered " Work Song" by Hosier. I left with a comped baroque pulled pork entree. We also invested in new monitors for acoustic shows. I know Dave likes Harley so I took a few pics. Daryl
  16. Yes, we use RCF for smaller gigs and acoustic gigs. Daryl
  17. No amp Dave just a bass and an instrument stand. I'll use a di box and a monitor. Daryl
  18. We're about 90 minutes north of Chicago. Theres still a thriving gigging scene in Milwaukee and the surrounding counties. Daryl
  19. I can definitely handle sit in singers, blues harp and guitar. I get the willies playing with an untested drummer. Lol Daryl
  20. I struggle with stuff like that. I don't like it. I'm not even that big on folks sitting in. Usually it's initiated by the band leader. The rest of the band members are a lot more generous about sit ins than me. I'm a lot better with it than I use to be. It's really not a big deal. Most of the time it's local guys that are good. However, I think there are some gigs where it's not appropriate Daryl
  21. That's cool Dave. I've seen a couple of local singers well into their 70s that are still fronting bands and singing well . Daryl
  22. Back at The Harley Motor Bar & Restaurant this Saturday! Enjoy the *bourbon and BBQ specials and we’ll provide the tunes! 5:30-8:30pm Daryl *Seriously, who drinks bourbon in Wisconsin? That's a down south thing.
  23. It was a good gig. We played an hour slot, 3:45- 4:45. The sound on stage was fantastic. Blue
