  1. Great pedal from the "Tone-Lok" series of pedals (which I wish more companies would do) with the push in/pop out knobs. This pedal served me well for a long time but I stopped using it and replaced it with a compressor on my board as I didn't have the room.

Few small knicks in the finish but works perfectly. Can be switched from a Chorus to Flanger with the flick of a switch and has a "Krazy" mode (spelt with a "K" for extra crazy) which makes things VERY interesting! Glow-grip tape on the foot board can be removed and cleaned up if you so wish but I find this stuff great for seeing pedals in the dark and getting better grip on the button!

No box. Looking for £45 £40 +. £5 Please excuse the photo, my phone isn't the greatest!

  2. *pre warning, this might be a little bit of an essay and it may not all be grammatically correct*

Okay, bit of a long title but something that I was thinking about earlier. Do you have your basses loaded with completely different pick ups/electronics to do different things?

Reason is ( I'll list below what with what) I personally have all my basses loaded with totally different pickups and even though they're completely different basses so will sound completely different which (even though 2 of them have active pre-amps on board) I can get basically any sound I want to get from these basses (the exception to me being a Music Man Stingray sound but I might put a MM pick up in my next bass) which means that I can keep my number of basses reasonably low due to space restrictions and also means I can just get really used to using a small set of basses. I even have different strings on them all to give different sounds. The only things I keep consistent are Badass II bridges on all (apart from the 5, going to get a Badass V) and Hipshot Ultralites with Hipshot X-tender (apart from the P Bass which has Fender Vintage pegs and Hipshot X-tender).

    My basses are as follows:

1* Fender SH MIJ 2010 Precision Bass - Seymour Duncan SPB-3, 500k pots, switchcraft output (Rotosound BS66 43-110)

2* Jackson CMG Concert Bass - EMG 35CS(n) 35DC(b), neck/series/parallel/bridge rotary, EMG BQC, switchcraft barrel output (Ernie Ball Slinky 45-105)

3* Tobias Toby Pro IV-B - Nordstrand Big Splits, neck/series/parallel/bridge rotary, EMG BQC, switchcraft barrel output (D'addario Pro Steel 45-110)

4* Shine P/J bass (heavily customised)** - Dual blade humbucker, Dimarzio Model PJ set, mono/split outputs (Humbucker to one, P/J set to other) neck/series/parallel/bridge rotary, 100% treble cut pot on Humbucker side/Seymour Duncan stacked 2 band EQ on P/J set side, switchcraft stereo outputs on each (D'addario Pro Steel 65-130 BEAD)

5* Infinity Fretless V 5 string - ESP Passive Soapbars, ESP 3 band EQ, switchcraft output (D'addario Nickel 40-125)

    ** build diary coming soon

So yeah, it would be interesting to hear what you others on here have your basses set up for or if you prefer to have very similar instruments for the exact same tone and purpose?

Hiho Orange made a terror bass 500 combo with 12" speakers might be a consideration.

I have the separate head and Cab SP212 with an OBC 115 which I swap around or use both depending on gig, practice or whatever the situation.

Ah brilliant! Thank you for the "heads" up! I've taken a look at those and they look like they might just fit the head unit in to it so fingers crossed! Going to see what I can do to get hold of one!

I'm not familiar with that amp, but have you considered a 2U rack tray as an alternative. If the amp is open-topped you couldd use the tray upside down.

Hi David, the amp is totally enclosed so a rack tray wouldn't work. I have done that before with a previous Trace Elliot I had though that was open topped :)

  5. Hey everyone!

Been loving the idea of the Orange OB-1 300/500 combo that have the head as a removable rack mount section and the single 15 cab but was wondering if anyone knows of a company that does a combo very much like it but instead of the 15" speaker, it has a 12 speaker as I'd like to get one to mount my Trace Elliot GP12 head in to and fit my favourite speaker (Fane Medusa 150 12"). I basically just want the enclosure to make my own project from.

If any of this doesn't make sense then please excuse me, I've had too much coffee today and it's showing haha!

    Cheers :)

  6. Hey everyone.

One of my basses is undergoing a colour change and the black plastic pick up covers on the P and J pick ups just won't look right with it. Nor would cream or white. So, I was wondering, does any one on here know of anywhere you can get different coloured pick up covers made? I would love some in a toxic/neon/slime green as that would fit the colour of the bass perfectly!

A small patch of tissue paper - torn out, not cut - on the back of the speaker (if you can reach it) with PVA glue.

If the hole is at the very edge then you need to use a non-hardening glue, eg. Copydex.

Those are all things I have around my house! I can get to the back of the speakers just by taking the back panel off (I believe anyway, it’s been ages since I’ve properly used it!). It’s fairly central so hopefully it’s an easy fix.

    Thank you for your help!

  8. Hey everyone

i have an old 4x12 cabinet that I’ve been using but unfortunately and rather stupidly, I managed to drop a screw driver which got caught in the mesh grille on the cab and punctured a hole in the speaker. The hole isn’t very big but obviously, not good to have a hole in it. What is the cheapest and easiest method to repair the hole in the speaker?

    When I say it’s a small hole, it’s sbout 4mm in diameter.

    any help would be appreciated

Hi , would you be willing to sell the PB X-N separately?  I've got a set of the JBX-Ns and there are excellent btw

    Cheers

Hi Donny, sorry but I’d rather sell as a set. Selling a bridge jazz pick up on its own is a bit of a hard task on here. If someone wants the bridge pick up though I’m more than happy to split but I’d rather not be left with just one. Thanks.
