1. Maybe a Boss bass Eq?

http://www.bosscorp.co.jp/products/en/GEB-7/

You can boost your signal and also further Eq your sound for the solo parts.
I'm using one and it does the job perfectly.

You should be able to find a second hand one for reasonable price.

2. If it was me I'd recommend the Sansamp Para Driver over the BDDI, very similar units but the Para Driver has the mid controls, mids and mid frequency, which makes a whole difference. The BDDI soops a lot the mids and makes your bass dissapear on a band setting whilst, with the Para Driver and the mids control, you can avoid that scoop and bring the bass more upfront.

I have also owned the MXR and I found the clean channel very useful but I didn't like the distortion because of the preset Eq curved.

No experience with DHA but between the other two units I'd go with the Sansamp Para Driver.

Wow, what a great guy! I bought his Demeter Compulator and and what an excellent transaction. All I can say about him is good:

He's pleasant, communicative and the item was delivered next day, extremely well packed and exactly as described.

He even offer me a full refund if I had any problems powering the Compulator.

Highly recommended to everyone, you won't be dissappointed with Dave, he's a top guy!

Thanks mate.

This two units have been sitting around my flat for quite a while now, I don't use them at all so they need to go to a new home. They are both in perfect working order and they are two very useful bits of kit. As seen on the pictures, they both come boxed and with manual.

5.
I used this, and continue to use this for years. EXCELLENT bit of kit - one word of warning though; despite there allegedly being vista drivers, I have not had success getting this compatible with Vista. I'm sure the seller won't mind me mentioning this. Good luck with the sale.
I don't mind at all ;)

As you said it's a great bit of kit, I've always run it on Windows XP and I've never had a problem.

That bass looks awesome! I could be interested on this one.

Just a couple of questions:

- Is the P pickup in the same spot as on a traditional Precision bass?

- What pickup selection options do you have? Can you solo just the outer coil on the pickup bridge? Can you mix the P pickup with only the outer coil on the bridge?

Thanks.
7. ;)

Hello guys, let's see if you can help me out here:

I have an '08 American Fender Precision and it sounds awesome, I'm in love with this baby but now and then I wish I had a jazz pickup on bridge position installed to make the bass a bit more versatile and get that jazzy growl.

As alwalys I've got my doubts and I wanted to ask you:

- Is it going to affect the overall sound? I mean, when adding the jazz pickup, the soloed P pickup will sound the same or it will change the tone?

- I've heard about problems when balancing the two pickups, one being more powerfull than the other, how do you guys go around this problem?

- If possible I'd like to keep the P pickup, because I love the tone it has and just add a jazz one, which one would you recommend me?

- Another possibility I'm thinking is a set of Sadowskys PJ but not sure if the overall sound will change too much from the original Fender... what do you think?
I assume Sadowsky will have the pickup balance sorted so:

- How much do you reckon it will cost to have the routing and pickups installed?

Any other recommendations?

Thanks!
8.
You've just opened my eyes to a whole new world of jargon and acronyms!

What the hell is seeding a torrent, can anyone do it, and is it considered impolite to do it at the dinner table?
;) I have no idea to be honest... but don't worry, we don't need to know that. All you have to do is here:

- Click on the link: http://www.gearslutz.com/board/gear-shoot-...learn-pros.html
- Now you are on the 1st post of that thread.
- You have to download the "Download #1", which has 8 different parts to it. You just click on each link and download them directly from Megaupload.
Only problem here is that Megaupload only allows you to download certain amount daily and, with just the first part, you exceed that amount. What you can do now is to switch off and back on your modem/router after you've downloaded a part... by doing this you'll get a different IP address everytime and you can download as many times as you want.
- You need to download all the 8 parts before trying to extract them. Once you have them all, extract the first part, entering the password provided by the guy, and that's it.
- It's a slow process and it takes time but it's well worth the wait...You have 269 songs!

To open the songs you'll need a software, I'm using Audacity which you can download for free directly their site.

Good luck!

9. ;)

Carry on with the subjet and after listening to all the songs we've found so far I came across another post in another forum where someone has put together a file with all the current Rock Band songs.
There you'll find a list of 269 songs, from AC/DC, Alanais Morrisette, Beasty Boys, Bad Company, Black Sabbath, The Cult, Deep Purple, ... to Foo Fighters, Police, Rage Against The Machine, Killers, Oasis, Megadeth, Pearl Jam, Rush, Stone Temple Pilots.

Here is the link:

The download takes quite a while but it's well worth it. The guys explains everything on his post, how to download the files and then listen to them, it's quite straight forrward and it's working well for me but if you have any problems, let me know and I'll try to help you out.

Hope you guys enjoy the track as much as I'm doing :P

12.
Their banana plug style jack can be hitty/missy with some sockets; overly tight to the point where they won't go into one of my basses and another fits BUT the spring loading action on the jack forces the jack back out after a while. I don't use em any more.
Exactly what happen to me with the last Planet Wave cable I bought. On my Jazz bazz doesn't go all the way in and on my Sansamp fits but comes out after a while and the first time was when playing a gig :)

Since them I'm using obbm cables and they are great quality leads, last a lot... Just ordered another one today
