  5. Thanks for the positive feedback on the build guys. Spoke to Robbie over the weekend and I should have some pictures of the bridge and the machine heads fitted so it can be strung up to work out where the fret markers will go maybe! More pictures soon as I have them!!!!!!

  10. Its basically a slightly widened Marseer 6 body. It will probably be a similar weight to my Yamaha trb 1006 if not a bit lighter!!!!!!
  11. Cheers guys! Yeah Haydn certainly produces some lovely instruments, The marseer should not be be as heavy as you think the body is actually smaller than it looks!
  12. Cheers mate, I have a rough mental picture of the bass! But it seems to change every time I talk to Robbie as we keep bouncing ideas off each other and the build takes a new direction! I feel that the finished product is going to be well worth the wait and Robbie is such a great bloke to deal with. No I've never had any experience with a 8string either,only 4&6 stringer's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  19. Ask and you shall receive! A couple more pictures for your entertainment, Robbie has started cutting the nut slots and he has also started work on profiling the neck heel. More pictures as I have them!!!

  21. Oh yes decided on gold fret wire so that it all matches in with the brass top nut and the black and gold Hipshot hardware! More lovely pictures as soon as I get them.
