Neck all glued up, Fingerboard has gone to Haydn Williams for fret slots to be cut etc. Should have some more pictures soon!

Pre-amp arrived with Rob this very morning!! [attachment=114896:imag0403.jpg] After much discussion with Robbie I have decided to go with just Maple veneers in the neck

I own a pair of trb`s a 1004 and a 1006 and in my opinion they are some of he nicest basses I have ever owned!

HI Guys! Was just wondering if it would be possible for me to change the string spacing on my TRB1006 from 17mm to 17.5mm or even 18mm as used on the Jap made TRB`s

Thanks[/quote] I fitted a Hipshot A series bridge on TRB1004 don`t think it made that much difference to the tone but it looks a lot better than the standard black chrome finish bridge that Yamaha use!

Has anyone ever fitted a aftermarket pre-amp in a Yamaha TRB series bass! If so did you have any problems/what did you fit? Any thoughts would be very helpful! Cheers

Hi! I`m looking for pickups to fit a 6 string bass, my current pups are EMG 40 size and the bass has a string spacing of 79/80mm has anybody got any ideas or sugestions, Emg tell me that their 40P pup has a coil length of 79mm so i might get some drop off! Cheers Ta

But something to guide me would be nice.[/quote] Hope this is some help! possition 1neck pickup 2neck&middle 3middle pickup 4middle&bridge 5bridge When you pull up on the bridge tone control positions1&5 bridge pickups only,and 2,3or4 gives you all 3 pickups together, also the front tone control works with any position not containing the bridge pickup and the rear tone control works positins containing the bridge pickup 4,5& pulled! in position 4 both tones work but the middle control is slightly dominant.
