  1. Dave sold me an MXR Preamp. Posted same day and all received as good as new. Easy as I could ask/want. Thanks again Dave.
  2. It did have strings on it. They were at least 40 years old. So took them off to give it a bit of a polish and tidy up.
  3. *can restring before sale if wanted* I'll be honest, I don't know a huge amount about this. I got given it following my great uncle's unfortuante passing. From what I know it's a 60s Burn Sonic Bass and it's showing its age. All still works and I believe this is the original case, although it looks as though it had a speaker which has since been boarded up. It sounds as you'd expect, with a real vintage sound. I was tempted to keep it, but needs must. Any questions, let me know. Edit: forgot pictures!
  4. Cheers for all the input folks. I managed to get Andertons to replace it pretty quickly to be fair, so no drama on that side of things! Ha! Why do you think I included it in the picture! Checked for finish and a final inspection apparently?!
  5. I'm thinking this is the best bet. Not local, but easy enough to sort and probably less stressful than drilling through a finish, screwing it up and being eternally depressed at my own stupidity.
  6. No nothing in the back, just a trick of the light, although I did just have to go and double check!
  7. Evening all! Looking for a bit of advice really? Bought a Mustang from Andertons which arrived today completely missing a strap button, or indeed a hole for one! (thought it might have been by design!) Just wondering how likely I am to ruin the finish if I drill it? Best to send it back, or chuck a hole in it and be done? Horror stories welcome! Thanks, Adam.
  8. Thanks Pestie, it's a great bass, just not getting the attention it warrants (plus I want an Aerodyne...). Unfortunately just don't have a box/case that I'd be confident shipping it in to get it there in one piece. If you fancy a trip to the beach though let me know 😉
  9. Hey guys, Looking to move on my Vintage modified Jazz. Had this for a couple of years and never had any issues, just use my Sire more often and picked up a CV P bass recently so is gathering dust. Works like a charm with no issues on the neck or frets at all. A few minor dings and scrapes on the body, but nothing that affects playability. The previous owner threw an ashtray cover and a pickup cover on there, so holes are already in it. Comes with the bridge cover. I don't have a case / box, so unable to post at this point. Let me know if you have any questions at all.
  10. Got a set of Roto strings - 40, 50, 75, 90 - didn't check the label, bought short scale, don't own a short scale bass. Opened and taken out the G string to go to string them... doesn't fit. Happy to stick in a post box if anyone wants them. Can't send 'em back, so hopefully go to a good home. Otherwise, I'll have to buy a short scale... so if you're selling a Junior Jet, let me know. Ta, Adam.
  11. Thanks gents - Looks like Donner might be the way to go!
  12. Morning all! I just wondered if anyone had any experience with Bluetooth page turners? I use an iPad for lyrics and chord sheets, usually using the Setlist app. I'm looking at an IK Multimedia iRig to sit on my pedalboard but wondered if anyone had any experience with these, or something similar, or has some clever other way of doing this, without spending £50 on something to free my hands up... https://www.andertons.co.uk/ik-multimedia-irig-blue-turn-bluetooth-page-turner-blueturn?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=surfaces&gclid=Cj0KCQiAtqL-BRC0ARIsAF4K3WEB1vC1WM9ksWnrY672M9xkCvuOD2a7D5ZpZSVgM2lR2GrayBF_aHQaAgO1EALw_wcB Thanks in advance!
  13. Hi guys, first official post, hope everyone is well and surviving the non-gigging, non-leaving the house world in which we now live! I wonder if anyone can help at all? I have a power supply with 9v outputs and an 18v output. All my pedals are 9v except for my trusty Eden WTDi rated at 15v. Can I use the 18v on my power supply, for the Eden, or will something catch fire / die / make strange noises? Are there any other repercussions at all? Or should I just buy a converter? Thanks in advance and hello. Adam.
  14. I pretty much strictly run from a DI directly into my band's PA system. As others have alluded too, saves me lugging round a bass amp! I swear by my Eden WTDi personally. Tried a few, and it gives me everything I need with a built in compressor, 3-band EQ and ground lift. Bit less than £100 and relatively readily available second hand.
  15. I use one of these every weekend at least as a DI into my PA. Never had an issue with it, does exactly what I need in terms of giving me a tone I like. I'd thoroughly recommend.
