Nope, I'm standing by the "one cannot access mental health support" statement.

It may be semantics, but if it is something like for every 100 people who need a type of support there is only one place available (again it depends on the service and region, but certainly in many areas you cannot even get on waiting lists). I suppose a 1/100 availability is not a 0/100 availability and thus technically support is available, but if there is little chance of getting it I think one could fairly say "one cannot access mental health support".

Should probably point out this isn't about party politics per se, although we have a Labour government at the moment who aren't addressing the problem, the Tories seemed just as incapable of grasping the nettle. The problem is that mental health is a long term and not very popular issue, and doesn't fit into the five year election cycle very well hence it doesn't get addressed.

My partner works in the NHS with child trauma, mainly arising from the home environment.

They are recruiting but have had no applicants for the roles. This has been the case for years.

  2. I didn't hate it, but an early purchase of a Hondo Ric made me realise the Rickenbacker ergonomics don't work for me.

I was gifted a 4000 a few years and it was just the same problem. Just didn't give me anywhere comfortable to rest my thumb. The pickup was too close to the strings and the surround was too far away.

  3. I would agree with the MIJ PB70 suggestion, and Chris's suggestion re the signature bass.

A Nate Mendel signature has the same neck profile and would fit the bill.

I'm right on the edge of hitting the purchase button on the creme me4 but looking at the 4mn is there much difference?

Same pickup config just different wood is all I can see so it should sound the same right?

We're straying into maple vs rosewood territory here.

Sound is always subjective. I (as do others) believe that a maple board will give a bass a slightly brighter overall sound. Many will disagree. I just don't get on with maple boards at all. Apart from the sound, they just feel 'harder'. That is very much just my own opinion.

Just ordered myself an AMG case for myself

    Looking forward to its arrival

    One question…

How does everyone get on with the standard wheels or is it worth ‘pimping’ with a pair of wider skateboard wheels?

I saw the video with the skateboard wheel conversion. I've not done it, and haven't struggled with the standard wheels.

In truth, it's tipped a couple of times but you can easily figure out what causes it, and avoid it in future. Avoid cornering too fast!!

You need to play to a standard to join a band. Generally, staying in a band is about building relationships and a team spirit. Bendricks Rock seems particularly healthy as we share a warped sense of humour (how many bands have a tagline like "Keep It Moist".

Wet Wet Wet at least, I shouldn't wonder.

You know this means musicians using a music stand have 2.8% more pulling power than any of us who don't use one. Imagine if the 'chicks' knew the pages were full of Italian words? Those classical guys have the top 3 covered!!

But band is also chemistry. I have my supportive place in this band. And I love playing with them.

This is very important too. I seriously doubt my band would carry on if any of us left. We clicked at our first meeting and have always got on unbelievably well. I am blessed to play with them.

The Scott Dixon flightcases have the same vibe, but are more expensive. However, they come up on ebay now and again.

I decided against those as the guitars weren't held so securely and there's more room for them to move around.

I did a gig where a guitar player had a Scott Dixon and it was dented to bu99ery.

I can see your rig. The Enki case looks like the least of your weight concerns.

The amps aren't in the rack any more. It wasn't so much the weight as the slight overhang against the cabs. The weight saving is not insignificant.
