Possible neck bow?

Would have turned the cab sideways myself!

I wonder if Mark Bass products were put inside an Ampeg / Marshall stack, their ears would suddenly notice a more pleasing sound...

Bumble bee?

Hopefully this goes the way of Yamaha/Ampeg than Fender/Genz Benz.
I had a Spector Euro but the preamp in it, my God, was shocking. Could not get a good tone out of that thing.

Doesn't look that bad, looks like a high class studio preamp.

Geddy is known for being DI only so why release a signature preamp pedal without a DI?

Yes, because anyone under 65 can't appreciate The Beatles. You weren't there, man!

I would have gone for AC Cobra or Ford before a Viper...
Yes or a horse with cart...

Roto Tapes are the dullest Tapes out there - closest you will get to a double bass sound on an electric.

Hi all, I am not sophisticated enough to spot much difference between string tone and anyway once you put the new ones on the old ones which are by definition old, are long gone so how can anyone compare? So instead interested to know bestvalue - longest life/£. I don't sweat much and only my wit is acidic. What would the team recommend? The bass is usually hanging up net to the toilet for weeks between gigs and exposed to the atmosphere, which althoughoccasionally aromatic is not toxic. Cheers, S.
Roto RB nickels or if you are after something brighter, Fender 7350 steels.

Have flatwounds been reinvented when I wasn't looking ?
I'll be honest, I've never taken to flats, but I got this new fretless today and it came with flats.
I opened the box, saw the flats and my heart sank.
I didn't want that 'flat' sound.
then I played it.
Where did all of that brightness come from ?
Have flats been reinvented ?No. Like all fresh flats, they need to be played to get that flat tone!

It's like a fine watch. Something 1/100 of the price will do the same job. But does the cheap watch have the history, heritage, build quality and prestige of the fine watch?
Marketing is also another element in this...
-
But does the heft translate through the PA?!
-
Hey, MIA Fenders are still being made this way and your Squier was a hell of a lot cheaper.

Brite Flats were fitted as standard on new Stringrays back in the day.

It's not a talent. Having followers isn't a talent.

Is this suggesting Scott's not a talented bass player? Because he clearly is.
You answered a question I never asked.
Does everyone genuinely believe that people with mass social media followings have actual talent? You'll be telling me those idiots who do ASMR are talented next.

At social media self promotion but not necessarily bass playing! If a band sells millions of records, does it make them talented or marketable?

Exactly - makes me think cutting jobs is a cover up for something else.
