1. tell him you want the bass as you both entered into a legal and binding contract (him to sell you to buy) student or not! see what happens? also you could say that you may have to involve the police as it is now your property - as per contract - and would appear to have been stolen (in his words 'gone') and that he could be at the very least be charged with reset (selling on stolen goods)....not too sure how much different this would be in English law as it is in Scottish law.

  2. needs to be taken further now!

I d/k what kind of action can be taken but this ebayer has broken a legal and binding contract which should result in him losing his account.

I always say go for the jugular and weed these idiots out...also ebay needs to be sanctioned/censored/disciplined/fined for allowing any of this activity....

  3. here it is folks - the bass a few have been asking for! it should safely go for around £500/600.

its not mine by the way, but had to post as this version does not come up often!

  4. what a great tale from the bay!

keep in there dont let the silly fl***ker get away!!!!!

I absolutely hate these sellers, ebay is getting worse with no policing occuring they are getting away with it! it is almost legalised crime aligned with criminal activity!

  5.
Hi ANdy

It's a lovely looking P-Bass and I'd definitely be interested, but I need to sell my MM5 String first.
Its in shop condition, neck and join are solid the action is fairly low and buzz free but could go lower as the bridge and tuning are rock solid, never been used in anger nor for much pleasure, so too speak! it comes with a hardcase and hopefully the original tuning key is in the case also. I'm in no real rush so get back to me when you sell your mm5 - its is being sold to fund an ampeg 810e.

  6. bass back up for sale again!

I have mailed the seller and gave a good explanation why it was taken down - he is looking for a bout £450 for this bass which imo seems a very good price!

  8.
I've never found the BTB to be a thin and weedy sounding instrument, unless you EQ it to be that way, theres a lot of tone shaping adjustment at your disposal. Check out the reviews

I'm not an eq player 'plug and play' if it fails the most basic test then no good to me I'm afraid!

I cant be arsed with eq'ing the amp or the bass - yamaha attitude straight into my v4 all valve head into 8x10 instant in your face bass!

  9. guys please give me some of your live performance experience of the ibanez basses please?

I have had a few and had real issues live with them

BTB did not cut at all - real thin and weedy sound
Blazer was fantastic in all respects - wish I'd never let it go!
atk - loved the body and neck but again no cut nor presence
rg/sr/fieldy - didn't work in any respect for me

no amp cab issues and I dont use any effects...

  10. really depends on your budget!

if you can save for a while - do this and buy the best bass you can and really want as it will save you money in the long run otherwise you will be losing money on an entry/mid level bass either selling or trading in to get the next level up!

but once you have a budget in mind I'm sure the good users on here will advise you appropriately.

  11. second the yamaha trb5 - pick them up for around £500 - make sure that it is a mkI though! check my avatar pic.

I would also recomend you try some of the schecter 5's particularly the custom/studio/elite ranges well made instruments using emg pups and elixer strings....when you see the quality of build and price range, it will make you wonder how they can do this!?

  12. yep fitted the fender pbass bridge on - the tbass is string through as stock, so no hard work required!

that bass is just gorgeous lfalex! also like your thinking! thought about the split p pups as it was a good/cost effective way of building the 'wife' as the body and neck on the tbass are really good!
