Great playing and sounding vintage Fender Lead ll, so not a reissue!!

The guitar appears to be all original, with grey bottom pickups dating to 1980.

Finish has gone bad with a lot of cracking, as is often the case with Fenders of this era. This is due to a bad type of paint being used. Also there is a lot of discoloration on the front, which actually looks like a nice Cherry Burst :). There are 2 extra holes in the pickguard.

Technically the lead is in decent condition. The electronics and hardware work like they should, though one half of the low e tuning peg has been broken off. The neck is straight and adjustable. The frets show wear, but it doesn't hurt playability. Overall some surface cleaning and new strings would be a good thing to do as it's a bit dusty.

This is a very well playing guitar with a really great Fender sound on board. The neck has a very comfortable feel to it.

THe original tolex hardcase is included. These are pretty rare by themselves. I think they are the same cases as used for mustangs, but with an extra padded block added. The case is in reasonable condition, with one latch missing.

    Asking €1.100

I am located in the Netherlands, but I am happy to ship at buyers risk.

  2. I am selling my fantastic Ampeg B25-B! It's truly a great sounding amp, but I decided to buy something with more watts for gigging. When a bass friend of mine offered his near mint 77 Ampeg V4-B, I didn't need much time to think about that. So this nice amp has now been replaced with it's bigger brother.

    IMG_20220329_175538.thumb.jpg.2f010aeb2a19f66720403663bef4f0f8.jpgIMG_20220329_191119.thumb.jpg.8d9b7904a88689e74c015a30b20e8e63.jpgIMG_20220329_191024.thumb.jpg.f2e640cabea9eef34e3369b7ac87f203.jpg

    IMG_20220329_191014.thumb.jpg.54d4fdb21c118aa83217801bdfa15bdc.jpg

The amp is in used condition with some wear and aging on the face plate.

I had the amp checked up by my tech a few months ago, and all is good. A few pots may be scratchy due to little use.

It's a very simple, great sounding amp. It loves a passive P with flats! And it's actually pretty loud too with a decent cab, for it's rated 55 watts.
The amp can be used with either a 16ohm or 8ohm (dummy plug can be used) cab or total of cab.

    Asking €1.150

I am located in the Netherlands, but could arrange shipping at buyers risk and costs if required. I have shipped tube amps before without any problems.

Excellent Alembic Elan fiver with narrow (15mm) stringspacing.

The bass has its usermarks and small damages around, but is in a technical good condition. The neck is straight, frets are good, hardware and electronics work properly.

Playability of this neck is great, and allows low action. The string spacing might be tight for slapping, but is great for faster fingerstyle or pick stuff.

    Controls: volume, pan, q-switch, q-filter.

The weight on my kitchen scale is 4,7kg.

Original specsheet and other documentation is included, as well is a generic soft case.

    Asking €3.500

I am located in the Netherlands, but I am happy to ship at buyers risk and expense.

Trades and partial trades are welcome. I am mainly interested in vintage Fender (especially <66 jazz) basses or maybe guitars, Music Man Sabre bass... Also good (japanese) copies of famous bass models might be interesting per example..

  4. Fender Precision 1966

    IMG_20220315_160651.thumb.jpg.ca9563477c77a4404171db1379c665ac.jpg

Beautiful and fantastic playing/sounding precision bass. The sunburst is still very vibrant on this one. It appears to be all original except for a pro refret (playability is great with low action). Also the knobs differ a little from each other,so I assume one is a replacement.

pots are dated week 18 of 1966, neck date May 5 66, pickups original grey bottoms (will make some pics later on). Technically the bass is perfect. The neck is straight and we'll adjustable, and also all hardware and electronics are working like they should.

This precision sounds and plays just great. The tone control is very useful for a nice range of tones. It sounds great with either rounds or flats. When I'm shifting it, it will be set up with fresh GHS precision flats or round. Without the covers the bass weighs about 3.9kg if I recall right. It's definitely very comfortable.

An original tail logo hardcase is included in the sale. This case is in good condition for it's age.

    Now also for sale: €8.000

Tradewise I am interested in a 60s Jazz Bass. Ideally 65 or older (before the binding was introduced). A well worn finish or a nice refin is not necessarily a dealbreaker. Weight must be below 4kg.

Partial trades are negotiable too. Think; music man sabre, jazz bass (Fender Roadworn, Avri, Custom shop, japanese copies), mustang bass.... Surprise me.

I've got more stuff to add in a trade if needed.

  5. It's the original finish, not a refin. If dents occur, it doesn't necessarily mean that wood should be visible.

There are small chips of paint missing which show no sign of refinish. In the cavities; no sign of refinish...

Besides that it probably wouldn't make any sense to do an expensive CAR refinish on a relative cheap bass, and then also not straighten up the body first.

These japanese basses are nice indeed. Atm I've got an old candy apple red Yamaha JB600R in transit. One of the few basses I've really regretted selling a long time ago. Plus it adds nicely to my other vintage Yamahas;)

    Thanks✌️

Nice combo with great looks and sound. I've bought it new and has used it just a few times since as I prefer my Roland cube that I can also use for guitar.

The condition is good with a few minor damages to the tolex. Some pots may scratch a little due to little use.

    €135 + shipping.

I am based in the Netherlands. Pickup is fine too of course.

  7. Yamaha BB3000a

Great old Yamaha BB3000a, made in Taiwan. These are high end basses of a very good build quality. I've also owned the Japanese version, and both are of the same quality level.

As you can see from the pictures; this bass has a lot of cosmetical damages. And an extra hole has been added near the controls as formerly another preamp has been fitted.

The playability of this bass is excellent (actually a bit better than the MIJ I owned). Low action is not a problem. Soundwise it's just great too, this bass sounds fantastic with either rounds or flats.

Technically the bass is in good condition. All hardware and electronics work like they should. The neck is straight and adjustable, and the frets in reasonable condition. Like said, low action is not a problem, so it's a comfortable player.

Due to the cosmetical issues, asking price is pretty low for such a bass.

    Asking €775

I am located in the Netherlands, but I am happy to ship at buyers risk.

  8. When listing a bass in a higher (let's say 4 numbers) price range and you get this kind of message:

"Hi I am ..... I am 12 years old and want to play bass. I think your bass is beautiful, but I cant afford it. I only have .... (=20% of asking) and a few sticky pieces of candy. Will you please sell it to me?"

  9. Fender Jazz Bass USA 1981

    IMG_20220303_101449.thumb.jpg.af4e32d4dc124034e7294eeedb13d8fd.jpg

Terrific '81/'78 ash/maple Jazz Bass. This one was originally sunburst but has been stripped down to natural, which looks just great.

The serial number is an s8... Which runs from 1978 until the early '80s. The neck seems to have been dated 1978, but the stamp is a bit blurry. The pots and pickups are dated 1981. The body has the beautiful rounded curves that returned under Dan Smith in the early '80s.

    More pics:

This is hands down the best playing and sounding ash/maple jazz I've laid my hands on. It has the pleasant deep and clear tone you want from such a bass.

All hardware and electronics work like they should. The neck is straight and adjustable. The bass has some usermarks, but nothing special. She looks great. Another great feature is that she only weighs 4,3 kg. Which is not much for a ash bodied jazz from this era.

The pickup covers and original hardcase are included in the sale. It has been set up with new elixir strings.

    Asking €2.500

  10. Nice Japanese Tokai jazz bass from the early 80s. These basses are well known for being a good copy of the originals.

The bass has a lot of usermarks, bucklerash and dents all over. The neck is straight and adjustable. The frets show wear, but action can be set pleasantly low without problems. The other hardware and electronics work like they should. Weight is about 4,05 kg (kitchen scale).

    Asking €695

I am located in the Netherlands but I am happy to ship at buyers risk.
