  1. Ibanez black eagle 1977

Rare original Ibanez black eagle from the '70s. These basses are mainly known for being used by Krist Novoselic from Nirvana.

It's truly a great take on the classic jazz bass. Not only because it's looks (which is a matter of taste of course), but soundwise it delivers a bit more mids than most jazzes do. Probably because of the mahogany body. I've used this bass live with La Bella flats fitted as an all rounder for my former pop/rock band, and used this with both pickups engaged or one of them solood, it sounds solid in all settings.

Playability is very good; low action without rattling is possible. There is some fret wear, but is doesn't affect playability.

The bass is in very good condition considering it's age. All hardware and electronics work like they should. There is a repaired little crack at the F hole (which most have, if still complete), and otherwise just a bunch of small usermarks and scratches.

It's a 5kg heavy piece of awesomeness, so might not be for everyone. I personally think it balances nicely with a decent strap, and didn't mind playing it for an hour or two.

For the sale a set of rounds will be fitted, as I'll keep the flats.

It's a reluctant sale this one, but something has to shift. There is no interest in my Ric, so I might keep that one and sell a Jazz type bass instead (I have 4).

    €1.850

I am located in the Netherlands, but happy to ship at buyers risk and expense.

  2. Yamaha BB800

Lovely early Yamaha BB from 1977, made in Japan.

The pickup has been replaced with an OBL, but the original pickup is included. Some minor routing has been done to the pickguard.

This 45 year old bass has a lot of usermarks around, but is in good condition technically. All hardware and electronics work like they should. The neck is straight and adjustable. Weight is 4.3kg on my kitchen scale.

For the sale the bass will be set up with rounds, as I'll keep the flats that are fitted now.

The original hardcase in included. This case is in decent condition.

It's a superb bass from a great era for Yamaha basses, but I don't play it much as the neck (43mm nut) isn't comfortable for me for sessions longer than 30 minutes.

    €775

  3. Fender classic '60s Jazzmaster lacquer

    IMG_20220817_101110.thumb.jpg.392a65bb9682dc93d04c56cb8db55a0b.jpg

Fantastic classic '60s Jazzmaster from 2015. The guitar features the American Vintage '65 pickups, nitro lacquer surf green finish, and a rosewood fretboard (instead of Pao Ferro that they come with nowadays).

It's a great playing and sounding guitar.

The guitar has some user marks/small damages but is in overall good condition. All electronics and hardware function like they should

The original Jazzmaster hardcase is included, as well is some paperwork.

    Fixed price: €950

  4. Very nice. I like that Dakota red finish on these basses. The mods seem to have been done with love and care too, that's not always the case with mods on "student level" Fenders from that era.

A few weeks ago I almost bought an unmodded one that was for sale in Italy at a vintage shop. Unfortunately the seller turned out kind of a rude *sshole in the first communication already, so I'll be waiting with patience for the right one that deserves my cash ;)

    Enjoy 🙂

Leo Fender have a batch of testing bass with paduak between 65/66

My bad eyes cant tell with provided pictures.

Would be perfect to have clear one to observe the color and grain

My 66 jazz has a padouk fretboard. The neck is dated July 65, as apparently many of them are.

This seems like rosewood indeed. Very nice bass.
