The outboard, and onboard Sadowsky pre-amps are one and the same, IIIRC.

I've heard a few guys on TB recommend the Sadowsky pre as being similar sounding to the Musicman one before. Can't say for sure, but it may be worth a shot.

With the Hipshot quick loading bridge, you can swap strings in like 2 minutes, not a big deal, IMO.

The 2 band, or the 3 knob - 3 band pre will fit a 2 band Stingray.

Use the 4th hole for a passive tone control, you could have it as a push/pull for active/passive, and have the tone only work in passive mode.

Crank your mids, if they're taking the bass and treble, slice straight through that big 'ol hole.

It's most likely because they're a much lower seller than the Stingray, less in circulation in general.

It's either an old Schecter pickup, or a Rio Grande "Muy Grande".

The Standards are one of, if not the best deals in boutique basses(unless buying used, of course), IMO.

Looks like with a bit of graft, you could have an awesome bass.
