My Mark Bass LMK for sale. The Bad- Maybe too loud which has lead to.................. The Ugly - The condition of the amp head is excellent and I have looked really looked after it........... However I used it for a gig with an Epifani UL cab and did not secure it properly. This has lead to some purely cosmetic damage to the base of the unit (scratches in pictures) where the head ended up vibrating across the Epifani handle screw tops.. It does not affect the amp head in any way and it works perfectly.... just scratches on the underside (I was gutted when i discovered it). A number of people have contacted me and asked if this is fully working. It works perfectly and has not been dropped or abused. If I were trying to palm it off I would have not bothered to take pictures of the bottom of the head. You can see from the scratches in the paint its where the amp head has vibrated across the two screws that secure an Epifani UL 1 x 12 cab. I had the same thing happen to my LM2 and an Epifani UL112.
1) Poor time keeping (musically). 2) Poor groove, different to the above. Timekeeping and groove are different. 3) Bad technique, don't let people tell you that good technique isn't important because it's vital. People who tell you otherwise are lying to you, usually 'cos they can't be bothered to improve their playing. Having good technique enables you to play what you are hearing in your mind. 4) Not playing for the music. Slapping over ballads etc . 5) Not listening to what's happening. Good listening is vital to good playing.

Let's say a player is chugging along on root note quavers for the whole night. Are they doing it because it is the best thing for that gig/band,or is it because they are unbelievably limited and cannot do any more than that? I'm not saying everyone has to be super-technical monster players, but a good player will play what is best for the situation, whereas a poor one will, and can, only play within their very narrow confines.
What I said Good technique is soooooo important, little things too. I studied very briefly a couple of years ago with US bassist Todd Johnson. I adapted some of his floating thumb technique to my playing with great results. There's nothing worse than 'ringing' low B's .

This is a few years old, and not one of the new 'true bypass' models, but you'd be struggling to find fault with it's performance. Check the review here http://www.ovnilab.com/reviews/multicomp.shtml It's seen better days cosmetically, there are a couple of minor marks in the paint on the corners , but it works perfectly. £65 including UK postage.

This is an amazing pedal, totally noise free and transparent sounding. The perfect compressor for people who don't like the way compressors can mess up your sound. Check the review here http://www.ovnilab.com/reviews/rothwell.shtml I only bought this a week ago, unfortunately GAS has struck and I need the cash to buy a new amp/cab. I'm hopefully getting an EBS head, they have a great built in compressor so this will be redundant anyway. I'd like £90 please, that includes UK postage.

I have a MM SR5 in excellent condition. I'd like to trade it for another MM SR5, that must also be in excellent condition. Mine is a kind of 'blue sparkle' with a rosewood board. I'm not too keen on the colour so I want to trade it for either a white one or a sunburst one. It has a really nice low action and plays great. The neck has a nice bit of 'flaming' to it. It actually looks a bit darker in real life. May also trade for a Jazz 5 string bass. For sale for £750.

I should explain I just bought this today, I only really wanted the LM2 so the combo part is redundant. I was thinking of keeping it, but I already have some 1x12 cabs and I really don't have the room to store it. I sounds really nice with the LM2. It'll accept any regular 19" rack mountable head. There's a speakon cable at the back to plug into the head. It's very solidly made, kind of looks a bit homemade but it's sound more than makes up for that. It comes with an attachable trolley to make transportation easy. It measures approximately 60cm x 50cm x 40cm. Here's a link to the original sale thread. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...amp;hl=markbass I hope Simon doesn't mind me using his photos, I'll take some of my own tomorrow in the daylight. £60 plus postage or you can collect it from Birmingham.
Just couldn't resist it............!!
I was recently offered this bass in a trade for my now departed Zon Sonus, only to have it snatched back so cruelly . It's a really beautiful looking bass, and has such a cool vibe about it. Nevermind this is now mine, at least it will be tomorrow
