  1. Off to a good home. The well revered Epiphone Jack Casady. Includes original hard case and strung with D'Addario Chromes flatwound. This is the more sought after Korean model which puts it at about 10 years old me thinks. Those of you in the know will agree these basses are fantastic. Great clear punchy pick up not to dissimilar to a P bass. On this one I've moved the strap pin to the upper horn (using a backing block epoxied inside). This really helps with the ergonomics as well as neck dive. They are Schaller strap lock pins and I'll include the female portion of the locks as well. Case has a couple of nicks, but overall good condition. Local pick up fine, can ship no problemo as well. Paypal is preffered.
  2. Very good condition, no fret wear. Has had Nitro NW guitars Neck Amber sprayed on it for that more vintage look and feel. Truss rocks as it should and includes the fantastic Gotoh Res-O-Lite tuners. The neck plate screw holes have been epoxied/doweled so you're ready to go with a nice clean screw job. Paypal OK, shipping no problemo. WIll do £180 shipped mainland UK. Thanks!
  3. Hell knows....but it's satanic ....six strings.
  4. Yes, Chris (The Bass Centre tech) did say about 5 years life expectancy for the 9v battery.
  5. Yes Icehouse (with Guy Pratt) did back Bowie. All in the book!
  6. What I like about the bass is you also get a signed copy of Guy Pratt's book!
  7. Headed out to see Barry at the Bass Centre today (Chris the tech too...who is a wealth of knowledge). And came home with the Betsy Bass! Barry couldn't of been nicer and although busy with NAMM next week he still had time to tell John Entwistle stories and also interested in the band I'm in, carnabyarmy.com. I've really gone in a totally new direction with this bass as I've been playing mostly a Hofner for the last year and a Ric copy. I'm looking for more punch and clarity and hopefully I'll get it with this. Now, to just convince the band that "Burgandy Mist" is a killer colour!
  8. I was wondering where they put the battery. I guess it makes for a clean look. 3 screws and you have access. Not too bad.
  9. Had a chat with Barry at the Bass Centre and I'm headed out tomorrow to have a play...hopefully buy the Betsy Bass. Funny, I randomly purchased Guy Pratt's new book (which is fantastic....great writer) and finally realised HE was the jumpy guy playing bass for Gilmour in the Live from Gdansk movie. He has some great stories in his book. Made me have a look at the Bass Centre Betsy bass and realised they are right down the road from where I work. No brainer. I'll keep you all posted on how it goes.
  10. Good condition Hofner Club Bass HI-CB model. Purchased new from GAK September 2019. Great thumpy 60's tone. I actually prefer this bass to the higher end HCT model as this one is fully hollow. I have a Guild Starfire inbound so this one has to go. It's strung with LaBella Deep Talkin' flats Beatle Bass model strings. Also includes original pick guard and original round wounds strings. Also has a funky Mod bullseye sticker as well!
  11. Thanks for the offer, but just trying to thin things out at home. ✌️
  12. Top of the line Fender Replacement neck (American Pro Spec). Had vintage style tuners installed so please note the holes in the back of the neck. Also had a pilot hole drilled for the neck plate screws and the bit went through to the fretboard on one hole (Doh!) It's filled and not very noticeable. Here are the specs: Description: Official Fender American Professional Jazz Bass Neck - Tinted Maple w/ Rosewood Fingerboard, Satin Back, and Gloss Headstock- Slim "C" Shape- Posiflex Graphite Reinforced Support Rods- 9.5" Radius (241 mm)- 20 Narrow/Tall Frets- 34" Scale Length (864 mm)- 1.50" Width at Nut (38 mm)- Genuine Fender
  13. Funny you mention that....we did just sack him and are auditioning new singers! Maybe I'll keep the P....🤔
  14. Now with Gear for Music Rigid Foam case. I keep sneaking a P bass into our band practices and the powers that be in the band (lead singer) keeps insisting I stick with my Hofner, so as much as I love this bass it's got to go to someone who will use it. I originally had a USA jazz neck on it (it's for sale as well), and had the loaded body for sale here. But I decided to put a P bass neck on it and found a very nice Mighty Mite neck for sale. It's a perfect fit for the neck pocket and the bass is set up with nice action. The neck has had a "F" logo applied and it's been amber nitro sprayed to give it a bit more of an aged look. Here are the details: -NW Guitars American Alder body -Custom built (my local luthier) wiring harness. Fender CS '62 Pick Ups...my absolute favourite pick ups. -4kg weight. -Gotoh aged re-o-lite tuners -A beat up "F" logo neck plate -d'Addario Chrome flatwounds -The Schaller strap pins aren't included. I'll include a set of non locking pins. The two nuts you see on the E and A strings are to keep the string winding off the saddles.....my usual fix for the long windings on Chromes.... No gig bag, but will be well packed. Local sales of course are fine too, as well as PayPal.
  15. Sorry! Just got a new computer and missed this....That's right. Local deal wasn't it? I'd be happy to sell just the body and pick guard. If you have a neck, come on by and we can see if it fits ok. PM me with your details and we can chat. Thanks! Gunnar
  16. possibly, let see how this goes for a day or two....then I'll let you know.✌️
  17. NorthWest Guitars American Alder replacement body. Custom wiring harness and Fender CS '62 pick ups. This bass built up for under 4kg. Just add neck and neck plate and you're ready to rock!
  18. American Alder Jazz Bass Body. Unbranded. Includes custom '60's stacked knob control plate with series/parallel switch. Pick Ups are the fantastic hand wound Wizard pick ups from here in the UK. They are the model 84 set. All cavities shielded and the bass is super quiet. The bridge pick up has a small blemish on the top.....cosmetic only. The bass is fairly hefty at 3.3kg, but I find the weight adds to the tone....much like my '76 Jazz Bass sounds. Neck pocket is 1.7cm deep and 6.4cm wide. Shipping is fine...PayPal too.
