Warmoth J necks are traditionally fuller than standard J type necks. Before i bought mine i did a bit of research on the web and it's quite well known, some people are very put off by it. However i've never been bothered by thicker necks (i've played warwicks for a few years) so i bought it and it's a lovely neck and certainly comfortable to play
Not sure on the spec of mine but it's chunkier than both my jazzes (a squier standard and a home-made fretless)
here's some more opinions:

Bought my missus a new laptop for £62.50 inc post.
2.2ghz celeron, 512mb ram and 60gig hard drive. All it needed was a new kettle lead for the charger and a cdrw drive (£3.19 posted, ebay again!).
Replaces her old 1.2ghz lappy which was £52.50 posted, off ebay!
Best bargain i saw in recent months bass-wise was a short scale encore in good nick, went for £9 as it was pick up only in sheffield. Don't suppose many o them steel workers have much use for a shorty bass...................... -
Is the tonepump vol, blend, bass, treble?
Lookin for a drop in curcuit for my jazz -
I think you can get the same quality for much less money. My Zoot is an English luthier built instrument, made from select woods etc. and cost me little over £700 with a flightcase. Ditto Shuker stuff at the moment. The reason Wals command astronomical prices is the same reason old fenders sell for thousands, demand outweighs supply, although i know which i would choose if i had £3000 to spend on a bass!
Still sound awesome though! -
It's got some wierd proportions, but...MMMMMMMMMMMM!!! Kinda like the way Fern Brittain would get one...
Used to have one of these in black (my second ever bass!), paid £90 for it too! It's quite a decent bass although getting on a bit now. The output was quite weak and the J pickup was an inferior unit. The inlays look nice from a distance but are surrounded in acres of filler! Apart from that it's perfectly serviceable, probably better deals out there now though
There was no model number on it, just "Dean" written on the headstock. However have an old bass book with it in which i'll dig out if anybody wants to know the model number.
Sold it for £50 and 4 sets of Elites to my local dealer! -
3rd dibs?

I had a nightmare last night where i turned up to a gig and opened my bass cases, in one was this and in the other was a bongo!
-
Had the '77 version of this, can confirm it is indeed a beast!

Just bought one of these:

£40 quid delivered and recommended by a basschatter, no wheels but folds flat! -
Also it's a pre-owned bass and he's listing it as new, thought that was against ebay rules? I've sold a mint condition, never gigged bass that didn't have the slightest scratch in the finish as used purely because it was!
damn you and your undercutting prices!
Haha, sorry! This is what i paid for it though and don't want any more as i only bought it recently -
If the pickups are too loud, couldn't you just lower them?
There wasn't much scope for lowering them, they just had a stupidly high output anyways so don't think it would have made much of a difference. Played a shine guitar which was the same, nearly impossible to get a clean sound out of it with the volume anyway near full -
I used to have one of these, paid £120 for it new and sold it for £90 on ebay
Mine was a nicer dark cherry finish and had an extra pot (2xvol, bass, mid and treb)
It wasn't pants at all, although it wasn't by any means desirable. The pickups were much too loud and you had to roll them back to get a decent sound. The hardware was surprisingly decent, i remember the bridge in particular looked well made and chunky. It was a double truss rod neck and seemed like a "proper" 6er, tbh i was expecting to find all sorts of shortcomings when i got it home but it was pretty good
At this price you can't go wrong really! Sniff out some better pickups and it'd be a winner
EDIT: That Squier was a standard too! Someone got a bargain... -
Got this from thisnameistaken a while back but have set my sights on an M80 and don't have the pedalboard space for this
It has only 1 battery cover and the other is held together by velcro but i just removed the feet and stuck 2 strips of velcro on it as it has lived in a pedalboard.
It comes with an 18v power supply and has it's original box.
It works a treat and sounds huge, i gigged it for the first time last week and it got a lot of good comments, cuts really well through the mix and has loads of features including 3 band eq, blend, 3 way mid shift and of course the torch on/off switch on the side
I'm looking for what i paid for it - £75 posted (i think) so if anyone fancies it give me a shout. Ideally you'll have an M80 to swap though...........
Cheers

The Schroeder 1212r/1212l has one speaker angled away from the cab, i stand mine on it's side as in the photo above and it gives an even spread of sound all over the stage and plenty out front.
I'm looking into getting a horizontal amp stand to raise it a bit if i need to:
