1. Another price drop for this beautiful bass - I can also send it via courier!
2. Hi all, I bought it and tried it for a while, but can't get any sound out of it that's better from my current set up. It has a ton of options and nice sounds though. I only tried it in the living room, it hasn't even seen a rehearsal and it didn't even stomp on it. Just operated it very delicately with my hands. It comes with the original box, manual, some stickers and the power adapter. Collection preferred in SE London or central London. Cheers!
3. Any interest in trading for a Lakland P bass? http://basschat.co.uk/topic/307449-lakland-44-64-custom-rw-car/
4. Hello, I am contemplating to sell my Lakland 44-64. I only bought it new 4 months ago from Thomann but I don't use it enough really. It plays beautifully, if you like a slim neck. This one is the version with the Jazz bass neck. It has not been gigged, just two rehearsals under its belt and a couple of hours in the living room. Beautiful colour as well. I can travel to meet as well, within 50 miles of SE20.
5. Even later to the party, but made it. I had most of the pedals to try them for a while and never really liked any of them, so I settled for the EBS Valvedrive pedal. Happy with that and using it for 2 years now. Then I got the Ampeg SCR last week and boy - that little thing is incredible. It's all personal taste and so, but what bugged me most about the Sansamp and VT pedals was that they coloured the bass sound a lot. I always found they make the bass sound too round and boomy. The Ampeg SCR doesn't do that at all. It adds room and pressure to the sound (don't know how else to describe it) but keeps the original bass sound. I play a Rick through it and absolutely love the combination. Have to try it for a gig but can only see it go one way. If you haven't tried it yet, give it a go.
6. I know, confusing setting and I always miss the option to dial in more mids! I have it on their way of setting it flat all the time.
7. Thanks all, the mosquite blender looks quite nice and small. I mainly use a compressor and a pre amp pedal (EBS valvedrive at the moment), nothing too big. But for live it often makes the sound too beefy, especially on smaller PAs. That's why I want to dial in some of the dry signal to undo some of the boom added. Anyhow, thank for the suggestions and I might give the mosquito a spin.
8. Hello all, for recording at home I use a Boss tuner pedal to split my bass signal, run one through some effects and the other dry into an audio interface. Then I mix both tracks on my computer. I wonder, what is the best way to replicate this live? To have one signal chain run through some effects and one signal only the dry bass, and to mix them together again before giving the sound person simply one signal? Does this work easily with the Boss tuner and line selector? Or are there better ways of achieving this? Cheers, Udo
9. I have nothing to protect it enough with at the moment, sorry. So not an option.
10. Still available if you fancy something new in May.
11. Emil bought a Fender JazzBass of me and the bass had to be shipped to Denmark. Very nice and easy to deal with user, I have nothing bad to say about him, only the best. Plus he really likes the bass! Recommended!
12. Hi all, For sale is the little monster. In very good condition, hasn't seen much use. Bought new years ago, but keeps being neglected as I tend to use my bigger Fender Rumble if I need an amp. It comes with a padded vinyl cover in deep red. Have a look at the pictures for the condition. I am based in London (SE20) but willing to travel within reason to meet (let's say up to 25 miles). Thanks, Udo
13. Hi all, selling my very sturdy bass bag as I don't really need it. I use a case for flights and got a padded gig bag. This one is somewhere in the middle between bag and case, very sturdy and people seem to use it on planes as well. Not sure if I would though, maybe for a bass that's easily replaceable. I might have used it half a dozen times, but not more. Has been patiently collecting dust and keeping one of my basses dust-free. Here are the details from the order website: Protec Contego Bass Case-light-weight CTG 233, ultra-strong, water resistant ballistic nylon, heavy gauge extra large zippers and backpack straps that are adjustable for superior comfort and convenience. Dimensions: 43 x 125 x 13cm. Weight 3.632. Finish: Black Ideally pick up only in London as I don't have a bag to send the bag. Cheers, Udo
14. Hello, I traded this one for one of mine but don't really get along with it. Thought I try a short scale bass but it's not my cup of tea. It is the actual same bass from this listing: www.shortscalebass.co.uk/product/epiphone-eb-3-short-scale-bass/ The guy I traded with bought it from that shop. There is crack in the lacquer at the back of the headstock, only superficial, apart from that the bass is in mint condition. It's rare to have this model in white I have been told. I am based in SE London, collection preferred. Thanks, Udo
15. Weekend special. I chuck in a Protec Contego bag/case. Not sure how to send it via courier, but will figure it our once needed It's used a couple of times, but near mint.
16. Hello, I am making space to move into a lovely little cave and this one has to go. I bought it as I was really curious about them, would definitely keep it if I had more space. There is nothing wrong with it and it makes a lot of noise Happy to meet in London or within 50 miles south of London or arrange for courier of your choice. A lot of bass for very little money I'd say. Thanks, Udo
