This one is somewhere in the middle between bag and case, very sturdy and people seem to use it on planes as well. Not sure if I would though, maybe for a bass that's easily replaceable. I might have used it half a dozen times, but not more. Has been patiently collecting dust and keeping one of my basses dust-free.
