There's a passive transformer in there, the chickenhead switch changes output impedance, so yes Ohm, and with that tone of the passive low impedance pickup, pretty unique approach to passive bass circuitry.
Thanks for the technical info. Never really understood that. It was of course created by none other than Les Paul as this was originally the Gibson Les Paul Signature bass from the seventies and was a low impedance pickup. Jack Casady rediscovered them and the Epiphone made by Peerless was the result.

I wonder if they were going to get into bed with Spector at that point but Spector went with another builder, the Euros are made in the Czech republic now aren't they ?
Euros are built in the Czech Republic and this certainly looks like a clone of a Spector.

Latchepen last Sunday. Superb guitar playing with a brilliant fiddle player and talented young upright bassist.

Had 2 octave mandolas which are more comfortable to play than the bouzouki. My 2 had different scale lengths. Both now sold.

I’ve owned both Czech & Korean made and I’d say there was little to choose between them. The Korean ones are made in a factory set up by Stuart and as far as I know still only make Spectors (unless the recent sale of the company has brought about changes).

I’ve still got my 5 string Gibson but it is gathering dust. My return to 4 strings is linked to acquiring my NS NXT electric upright which is a 4 string model. Add to that the gift of a Spector Coda 4 and I am wondering why I ever need 5.

This has got me thinking, could one write a song where the time signatures were different per verse, and reflected the theological subject of that verse?
1/1 - one God
2/4 - a march to victory
3/4 - the Trinity
(not 3/3) as I had typed
4/4 - the gospel writers
5/4- five gifts in Ephesians
6/8 - six days to create the world
7/8 - the Sabath, or holiness
9/8 - apocalypse (with a nod to Genesis fans)
Of course even if one could do this, I don't necessarily think one should...
And of course everything has to be a 12 bar as there were 12 disciples 😁

Time of the Fivers?

I thought you were referring to a shortage of fivers (£5). 😆
