unfortunately they are little understood otherwise yours and mine would have sold by now
what more could you want - jazz neck, pj pups choice of passive or a good (for fender) active system
we will have to remain in the minority I feel -
[sub]i have a tribute SB2 that i might be talked into parting with[/sub]

he told me he is in the outer hebrides
but hey, lets not judge him, it is quite possible he is a travelling saleman with many basses -
in the words of neil young i think its a piece of crxp
-
great basses

that looks a good buy and the seller is an established reputable dealer that is highly thought of on this forum

excellent thanks

its a lot of money to pay sight unseen especially given the potential nexk problems mentioned above - this would be an expensive repair as the neck is blocked and bound - this always puts the repair cost up - and then you have a non-original bass
so all in all not worth its selling price -

I particualarly didn't like the way the bidding amounts increased from £10 to £60 for each bid.

i think ebay does this once an item gets to a certain value -

That is an extremely pleasing instrument to look at Gareth. I fear the GAS monster is stirring
let it stir
it really is a superb instrument -
This is a fantastic bass!
Here's why:-
1. Super light - a shade under 8lbs - those in the know will appreciate what I am saying - under 8lbs for an ash bodied precision!
2. Thin skin laquer finish with detailed figured grain ash below - trans type/see thru finish
3. Maple capped maple board - hence no shunk stripe.
4. This bass being a celebration of 60 years of precision combines the best bits of those 60 years - split pickup, light weight, post-tele type headstock, lightweight tuners with traditional keys, super snug neck to body joints, CS quality finish, great fretwork, grooved bridge, graphite reinforced neck, stringthru, etc, etc
The bass is well balanced, light, super resonant un-ampllified, wonderful deep p bass tones when amplified, no fret buzz
yet low action, no deadspots.
Here's the full spec

Umm, been humming and hah-ing about this one the last twice it's been up, assuming it's the same one.
I should have got it off Andy the first time I saw it up for sale, Manchester was a lot closer .
Beautiful bass.
Good luck.

you should buy it - I have one and they are beautiful basses - MIM classic series standards - no affiliation to the seller BTW
