1. If your projecting onto the whole wall then its fine but if your using the screen for anything thats where it annoys me. The screen and the wall start to merge when your focusing on whats on the screen and you loose the edges, a bit of colour breaks it up and keeps the focus. plus from your point of view, you just spent money on a screen. white wall means lazy people don't need it. And white walls show the dirt
2. I would say paint the wall with the screen another colour than white. White will not only show the scuffs but I also find it isnt a good colour for a projector wall. You cant see the borders properly and its to bright. Give it some colour to distinguish it and i think it would be better. But then that is my personal preference.
3. Go with the student version - the MP only works with m-audio hardware where as 10 will work on any hardware. Also with the student version you get 4 years of updates. so when PT 11 comes out with 64-bit support its all yours!
4. all the above. use it as a stomp box but still have the XLR out going to the desk. do the same on the ashdown. then put some mics on there. Even I know its overkill but its allowed some awesome flexibility in the bass sounds in a mix by having all the options. But then I do tend to over record everything then remove the ones I don't need in that mix.
5. That helps put the room size in perspective!
6. Yea, Like I said I know plenty of guys that do that - if not much more. I have seen some awful sounding singers live that in the studio when they can hear everything properly suddenly sound good. but never in a case where I've not need some auto tune tweaks.
7. Did the band do the mix? I know a lot of guys who auto tune vocals without telling the band so the singer thinks he's amazing.

9. I've never had and issue with Lacie myself - and thats 8 years in IT. It all depends who made the drives - thanksfully mine is the good days of Western Digital before they got stupid.
10. I do have a 400GB lacie FW800 drive im wanting to shift its two drives in a RAID stripe to give it some better speeds - thrown a few large protools sessions of 80+ tracks and it didn't glitch once.
11.
Gotta put out some love for LTD's! Finally got a Forest 5-string today. Surely not everyone here is a Jazzer? Someone want a bass with balls that will, I repeat, WILL play any genre of music you want? You really can't go wrong with a Surveyor. It's a Jazz bass with over 9000db output! X-D
Thats the best review I ever read!
12. Looking good! Wish us IT guys got to stop for the bank holiday, I'm in the wrong trade
13.
Surely the only thing that matters is whether the bass sounds right in the mix?
This - when a client says "I want this bass sound" in anything in Drop C - not gonna happen. Focus on the mix - if it all sounds good I will bet they come back without complaint.
14. Is it standard MIDI or USB? Could be tempted to collect this weekend...
15.
@ Nibody - oooh, nice idea. Wonder if I could get the rights to that...
Too late guys, see http://www.activemusician.com/Ampegs-New-SVT810-Fridge-Actually-Keep-Things-Cold--t101i3104 Looking awesome though!
16.
In the meantime... it's funny isn't it. When you pay your builders first stage invoice. The day after it's rendered. And they immediately disappear. And don't show up at all. For two weeks now. HOHOHO. Not.
Thats cause they have booze money
17.
And yes they are awesome basses! I wouldn't be getting rid of it if I could actually afford to eat/pay my bills haha
Yea, I would have bought this as a backup/alternative to mine had I not been in the same boat!
18. The bass is around 8-9lbs or so I have found online. I can't say Ive had any issues with it (and I'm not a big person!) but Its got a bit to it but no more than say a similar sized fender 5 to my mind. But never mind that just buy it! awesome bass gurenteed! free bump btw!
19. Further bumpage - this is a fantastic and amazingly versatile bass, worthy of a good home!
