  1. Recently sold a tuner to Alex, quick payment and attentive comms, the ideal BC'er. Wouldn't hesitate to do business again.

The same cannot be said for a parcel company called Evri....🤬

  2. Hello everyone!

Need to raise funds for other gear.

Bought new from Fairdeal music in Brum in July last year.

Shell pink, mint scratchplate, and comes with a really nice Ashdown gig bag.

    Weighs 3.8kg.

    Near perfect condition.

Willing to discuss postage or delivery otherwise it's collection from Erdington, North Birmingham.

    Thundercat last night

He's clearly a very talented bloke but its a mad old combo of out there jazz madness meets super smooth dreamy soul/rnb type thing

What is for sure it you get world class playing from  drums and keys and bass  and it sounded superb

Best live bass mix i've heard and i've seen Geddy, claypool, levin .karn   etc

Me too, saw him in Wolverhampton last night. Agree with your description. Pleased to see place was packed. He's an incredible talent. Didn't have a clue what he was on about in the chat between songs though 😂

I didn't see this thread until I googled us to find the link for the tickets to our gig haha

I'm the bass player in this band (Invisible Airwaves)!

Thanks for all the nice comments guys. Lovely to hear.

And can confirm, Tamas is a very cool guy  :D

Maybe see some of you in June!

You guys have done an amazing rendition of Tom Sawyer, absolutely bang on!

  5. One of my favourite records and a terrific bassist.

Trevor recommended the band sack their original bass player Mark Lickley and Brad replaced him.

According to Trevor Horn's book Brad was the son of Don Lang who was the trombonist in the Bob Miller band and had sung the original theme for the Six-Five Special TV series.

There is a really challenging bass lick in 'Show Me' at the end of the string intro at 0.38s where the drums come in. Awesome dextrous bass guitar playing which took me ages to figure out!

  6. Thanks for posting, huge Pino fan here but I have to say this is unfortunately yet another podcast hosted by a person who thinks it's all about themselves.

I'd estimate the majority of this interview consists of the interviewer sharing his own thoughts and poor old Pino, one of the most experienced, influential and respected bass players in the world, is barely able to get a word in at times.

Would be great if this could be edited down to a shorter interview which actually focussed on what the great man (Pino, not the other guys) has to say.
