  1. @stewblackand others: So you probably owe it to yourself to see this video which kinda shows off how good it is in the cabs and FX department. I literally discovered a few things about the NeuralDSP that meant oh sh** I don't need anything other then the Neural DSP a few days after I bought it.
  2. All a WIP and a sideline for when I have a few hours to myself…. I like making effects from Kits — Fuzzdog, Pedalparts and JedsPeds and so on… …but the very best bit is… making my own woodwork for the boxes. Here we have Spalted holly and Walnut/Iroko offcuts/reclaims. I made my own pedalboard for them to sit on too. Iroko salvage and Maple PAR planks. People say “thats not very punk” but I cant think of anything more punk than making your own DIY stuff.
  3. More power than a Helix Stomp (which is getting a bit long in the tooth now). Never used this and is in pristine condition. Never gigged or rehearsed with. Non smoker, no pets. Decided to go NeuralDSP plus Darkglass Plugins to free up weight and lose the entire pedalboard and sound interface so a direction change was needed at the last minute before I had even used this pedal. Stunning multifunction pedal especially valuable for Guitarists and Bassists. No original box, sorry. Will be packaged well for shipping. Shipping to UK is Special Delivery next day £8.99 Ask about international. Includes a PSU, card guide and a couple of USB C cables and USB C to A adapters. Most quality pedalboards PSUs will also juice it (9-18V 800mA).
  4. A new edition of this music computer has been assembled, tested and released. It can be used as a multi FX unit, a synth, a generative music producer, and interactive environment for livecoding. A complete list of apps for this amazing interactive music device are available on http://norns.community also go to http://www.monome.org Paypal is preferred BACS also possible for UK. White OLED display. Professionally assembled using robot pick & place for consistency & reliability 32GB Class 10 SD Card w/latest OS installed and pre formatted Cases bead-blasted for a smooth in the hand feel with cork desktop feet White Buttons and Aluminum Knobs for a clean, purist look. Brushed raw aluminum screen top. All brand-new parts. Despite scarcity I have sourced small number of warehoused Raspberry Pi 3B and 3B+. Attention to parts sourcing has been made for maintaining optimal sound quality.
  5. Sorry for the piecemeal answers to all your questions. This is hard enough to get answers on the other side of the planet
  6. @HellzeroYeh, it looked a little closer to my 17.5mm ACG 5 and 6 er when I eyeballed the photos so just asked for a photo — it looks like 17-17.5mm to me. Hope this clarifies.
  7. If it were not so hellishly expensive to ship my stuff to the USA I’d keep it. But i’m leaving Perfectly Normal Island behindfor good and cutting my losses.
  8. Oh about the trapezoid neck. A lot of the clones don’t do it, they either do a chamfer straight front to back, or just supply a round neck (more common on the guitars from people like NX Guitars), this is a proper diagonal aka “trapezoid” cut across the neck as per Strandberg’s design. I found some extra photos
  9. One for the luthiers/setup nerds here. Bought this on Aliexpress on a whim as a project to upgrade with better tuners (I know the supplied headless ones, they’re all dogshit) and assess the pickups/preamp when they arrived, (probably dogshit too but sometimes I am pleasantly surprised). I buy these things and push them by sinking decent hardware unto them (like a boujie bitsa) and usually these guys end up being great basses at a fraction of the cost — if the woodwork is sound (as it is here) it’s all in the hardware parts choice and setup and thats the bit you are going to have to do. I thought about ABM 3901 or Mera Bullet Tuners, Droplet string clamps, EMG active soapbar pairs and a Darkglass Tone Capsule. Or just nothing at all and set it up right. Never played or setup as it arrived in the UK after I left to live in California and its still in the UK. The bolt on neck has the correct patented Strandberg Trapezoid Profile and seems exactly the same — apart from the jumbo frets. Really nice woodwork to this:Ash back, Figured Maple top, I suspect the frets need a grind down or replacement with fine wire stainless ones, some oil on the ‘headstock’ its basically an instrument I bought for the body and neck and was prepared to toss the rest. But hey its not Strandberg Boden 5 cash and the wood finish is better than the Boden 5I briefly owned. Comes in a styrene box as per the usual Korean workshop jobs. Ships from UK. Shipping is included in price. USA/RoW pls add £50-£70 (depending on location).
  10. After chatting to someone here about ACGs in general via an ad I listed then pulled, I have decided to do a very hard thing and start letting go of my basses. As some of you know I have left the UK permanently to live and work in California. Basses are not easy to travel with so Ive had to leave some behind. Crated in prep for cargo shipping to me but I thinks its safe to say it won't be any time soon. The bass itself is on ACG’s website model number 0257. https://acguitars.co.uk/project/0257-salace-e-type-headless-5/ Not getting the playing time that it deserves. An excellent lightweight chambered 8lb (just shy of 3.65kg) bass that’s super comfortable to play with its 30.5” scale length, suits E-C but I have it set up with heavy gauge hex core boomers and played lovely in B-G as well, The preamp is amazing, so versatile and great as a studio tool to get loads of tones, passive bypass gives a great natural tone as well. Preamp is the ACG DFM 5k/AP which is the full dual filter modular with push pull mid boost for both pickups, passive/active switch with tone roll off pot as well. Here are the specs. Body wood is Alder Top wood is Eucalyptus burl which is stunning Neck is Wenge and Ash Fingerboard is ACG’s signature acrylic impregnated Wenge for superior stability with luminescent inlays which glow on a dark stage and UV blacklight. Weight is 8.01lbs Bridge pickup is the AGC SB single coil and the neck is the ACG FB humbucker. Hipshot hardware. 17.5mm spacing (from memory it might be 17 -- check with Alan) There is 1 very small blemish on the back behind the lower horn I’ll include a close up picture. Comes with the original semi hard shell case. I ship locally and internationally tracked and signed in one of my custom made wooden crates. Here we go again: (Black 6 Stringer is my Keeper) Luminol dots activated with UV light. Shipping is extra dependent on location.
  11. And sold! Its ok. All these mass produced things are not hard to get again when thing have settled.
  12. I I’ve not been able to use this pedal (as bought from Krispin in May), trips to the USA and plans to be moving there happening fast have rather put the kibosh on things punk-project wise. That price also includes a custom midi cable and the next day Special Delivery postage. You probably know what this amazing pedal does… its replaced about 80% of what I used to use if not check out https://www.darkglass.com/creations/aggressively-distorting-advanced-machine/ and this video,
  13. NOW SOLD Thank you I went up a size, but not by much! These things are tiny and pack a punch!
  14. I made a similar one a year or two ago but with rosewood/ebonite neck. Your fretless is very tastefully done. You showed restraint and made a nice looking instrument for it. A classic. have a free bmp.
  15. Very happy with a recent purchase from Krispn. Well packaged, good comms and an easy fair priced deal. Thank you.
  16. I hung them on the wall together yesterday and thought to myself, “they belong together” So, withdrawn. sorry for the tease folks.
