  1. Hi folks,

I wonder if any one on this forum can help me to approximately value this Bass?

During the pandemic and my thesis, I acquired a Squier 54 Paranomal body and pickguard as a project to keep myself sane.
What followed turned into a bit of an obsession to upgrade as much as I could.

After much fine tuning and head scratching I came up with this.

All the hardware is now nickel, knobs, screws, neckplate, control plate everything. The pickups are Lindy Fralin Jazz. The tuners and bridge are Hipshot, and the electrics CTS pots and orange caps. The neck is a Fender roasted maple Jazz.

The problem is much as I love it, I’m an Active Humbucker Guy, so the jazz subtlety is a bit lost on me. Hence,  I’m thinking of selling it.

Has anyone got the foggiest idea what it’s worth? I know that upgrades don’t always add up to the total cost but some idea would be great.

  2. So this started out life as a Ash Squire 54 Paranormal Jazz Bass Body and pickguard.
The project was basically an idea to upgrade everything, neck, bridge, tuners electronics and pickups.

    So the specs are:

    Fender Roasted Maple Neck.

    Hipshot Nickel Tuners and Bridge

    nickel hardware all over.

    CTS pots and orange caps.

    Fralin Jazz pickups.

I hope you like it! 90AB9028-3AB6-4241-8B2D-517A23CAB498.thumb.jpeg.86ac8884172d2d15e7019aa4e6aee2e7.jpeg

  3. For those who want to know the superb sounds you can coax out of one of these units see:

  4. Emma Electronics Octo Njos - switchable bass fuzz and octave. Amazing sound I just don’t have use for it. Mint condition and barely used.

    £5 uk mainland postage.

The Okto-Nøjs is actually two 100% analog pedals in one – a super-accurate, fast-tracking Octave down (the Okto) combined with a dynamically responsive, synth-like Octave-Fuzz (the Nøjs).

Perfect for bass players and guitarists, the pedal features a harmonic distortion generator that creates a unique and dynamic Octave-Fuzz effect, reacting to playing dynamics to create spitting, swelling, synth-like drive sounds that are truly out of this world.
