1.
Is that a poplar body? Doesn't look like any ash I've ever seen.
+1
2. Sure it's Made in China? I have one just like that but fretless and it's made in Japan! Best deal quality/price.

Money sent The Legacy is mine
4. Hey Jazzy, how are you doing bad boy My Distillate is about 9.5 lbs, not bad at all.
5.
Lovely Distillate Enzo. I spotted this bass on the Alembic Club forum. I miss my Spoiler 32" bass!
Thanks mate, I had a Spoiler previously, another great solid bass.
6. My '88 Alembic Distillate. Love the 32" scale and the very dense birds eye maple top!
7. Fernando has a bit of every bass on Earth! He's also one of the best sellers to deal with, I bought another Warwick from his collection and I would not hesitate to buy from him again. Top bloke!
8. What's the nut width on this? I imagine, looking at pics, the strings spacing at bridge is about 19mm?
9. My recently acquired Sonus. I took this picture with the flash to highlight the purple trans finish that otherwise in normal light looks muuuch darker. It's my first Zon and surely not the last
10. I have the same model that Stuart is playing and that neck pick up (of the one for sale here) closer to the bridge really intrigues me.
11.
Hi, I am a new member here. Is still this Musician available?
This is an old thread, I doubt is still around.
12.
If you get a chance to try one locally- there must surely be one in shop somewhere in the Chicago area - I would definitely give one a try before you give up on the idea. It's a really fantastic feeling neck, your aversion to Jazz Bass necks not withstanding. Try giving Bass Club Chicago a call , maybe.
That's a good idea, I haven't been there yet.
13. These old Tokai are a real deal, I have one fretless and it sounds as good as a vintage Fender.
14.
The width at nut according my measurement is 39 mm, so I believe it is 1,532'

Zon modelled the overall neck profile of the Sonus on an early 60s Jazz Bass.
Thank you for the reply, I'm trying to stay away from jazz type necks as I always end up not liking them. Too bad, this is one of the nicest Zon I've seen.
15.
Oh, & Enzo's not . . not mine anyway
LOL, you'll be surprised, if it's all original will go up in price. Just look at some beat up old Fenders how high they sell.
16.
so when are you expecting delivery?
I already have one if you're referring to the bass. If you're referring to our baby the delivery already happened, everything went well, 3.9kg, thank you for the thought
17. These Pre EB Stingrays will be the next Pre CBS Fender in the future, I would not hesitate to buy it, the price is more than fair.
18. Great choice of parts, that's what I would have done myself to assembly my ideal Fender. ... and I agree, the price is great.
19. Gorgeous beast! I wish I was capable to play a 6 strings!
