1. I offer my vintage Yamaha for sale or trade. I've been having this for about 6 years so it's been my longest serving bass so far. Apart from the two dings you may see on the photo it looks like new (36 years old!). Upgraded with Hipshot Ultralite Lic Tuners and ebony ramp. The upgrade is reversible if you wish to use the original hardware. The ramp is very well made and follows the neck radius. Give it 2 weeks and you'll be addicted to it. -Alder body -34" Maple Neck, 44 mm nut width -Rosewood Fingerboard -19-20 mm string spacing (adjustable) -Very light (3.6 kg) and perfectly balanced due to the Ultralite keys -Original pickups and 3 way preamp -Passive tone -Truss rod is perfectly functional -Original machine heads included -Gigbag included Trade, p/x for 16.0-16.5 mm string spacing basses (f.e. Status, 5 string Ibanez SR series, Carvin, BB5000), electric guitar or compact bass head (Cash either way). Collection from Hemel Hempstead. Shipping to UK/Europe at buyers expense.
2. Updated with a sexy photo from the back.
3. Cheers, Si. I'll take a photo from the back later today.
4. For sale this exciting handcrafted single cut form Jon Letts. I bought this to try the specs (33" / 17 mm string spacing) for a potential custom build. I'm selling it because I'm really into headless basses now and single cut has never really been my thing anyway. - Wood: Black Walnut / Maple - Nut width: 40 mm - 24th fret: 58 mm (narrower than "factory standard" basses due to the string spacing) - 3.8 kg / 8.4 lbs - 2x volume pots - Bonus nylon flatwound string set - Mint condition 10/10 Due to the aformentioned specs and smart design the playability is outstanding. The neck along the upper horn is thinner, making the higher frets super easy to reach. Extremely low action with minimal fretbuzz. The sound is very punchy, kind of aggressive with the typical single coil character. A fun to play bass and very suitable for someone with small hands or wrist issues. The low asking price may be misleading hence this is a quality instrument. If you like the look, you'll love it! Collection from Hemel Hempstead. Shipping to UK/Europe at buyers expense.
5. Due to downsizing my collection I offer my Yamaha BB3000 1986 MIJ for sale. A top of the line vintage instrument in exceptional condition (one of the machine heads is slightly bent but 100% functional). Weighs 4.2 kg. 34" scale, 40 mm nut width. Stagg hard case included. Tradewise you could tempt me with a 4 string / 16.5 mm spacing Status S2 / S3 or Kingbass (+cash your way) but just because I'm in my "headless phase". Collection from Hemel Hempstead. Shipping to UK/Europe at buyers expense.
6. I bought a bass from Willem. Good packaging, smooth transaction, honest bloke and last but not least top quality bass! Highly recommended.
7. I sold a bass to Carlos and honestly he is an absolute fenomenal chap to do business with!
8. Shortly I've bought a 4 string bass and I decided to let this one go. Actually I'd love to have a 4 string version of this with narrow string spacing. I'm not desperate selling though, it's definitely the coolest bass I've ever had. You can get the string spacing up to even 19.5 mm.
9. I'm not sure, but the neck is quite slim for a 5-er.
10. For sale my Bogart Sport 5 Headless Bass. Made in Germany. Mint condition, perfect balance and light weight (3.8 kg). A real stunner as you can see it on the pics. - - 34” scale graphite neck - - Blackstone body (composite material with wooden core) - - John East Preamp with Passive Tone and Concentric Mids - - Bartolini pickups - - Adjustable string spacing, currently 17.5 mm (the narrowest) I’d prefer a straight sale, but I’d also consider trade / PX for a 4 string (cash either way). Can be collected from Hemel Hempstead. Shipping to Europe can be arranged.
11. Sold a Sandberg bass to Cameron. Nice chap, easy to deal with.
12. Matt finish and comes with a nice gigbag, sir.
13. Thanks, Stevie. Beast is exactly the word I'd use to describe this baby. Peter, I'Il measure the nut a bit later today and let you know.
14. Hi guys, For sale my Sandberg Basic Ken Taylor 5. Made in Germany in 2003. A lot of bass for the money. - - Ash body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard - - Sandberg pickups and hardware - - 34” scale - - Adjustable string spacing (17.5 mm currently) - - 3 way preamp, active/passive switch - - 4.35 kg The bass is in good condition apart from some rust on the pickup magnets which doesn’t affect the sound. There is also a little “thumb mark” above the neck pickup, but nothing else. Priced for a quick sale, no offers please. Can be collected from Hemel Hempstead. Shipping to Europe is possible on buyer’s expense.
15. Cheers, Dannybuoy. I feel quite bad for selling it.
16. £650 (including hard case) + shipping Hello! Up for sale is my Sandberg Classic Special Custom Shop 2006. The bass is in mint condition, virtually scratch free. I think I’m the second owner (3+ years) of her and she hasn’t seen a gig since then. The specs: Preamp: 3-band Glockenklang with active-passive push-pull on the volume pot Pick-ups: Delano soap bar pick-ups Hardware: Sandberg Body: Mahogany + tiger maple top Neck: 24 frets, maple + ebony fingerboard Custom shop feature: cherry burst finish (matching head). A great looking bass + excellent playability combined with the highest quality German craftsmanship! The slim 34” neck is comfortable even for my small hands.. Weight: 4.45 kg. The reason for sale is that I don’t have time to practice/play music anymore and I’ve got 3 other instruments including another Sandberg. The price of a new Sandberg with similar specs is easily £1400 or more and considering the condition of the bass this a bargain.
