  1. I'm sure I will regret, I wanted to have a Fender and this is a VERY GOOD one, but I play now only 5-ers, so it's a shame to keep it unplayed. It's the third series, made in Japan between 1984 and 1987 and the specs are: Basswood body Maple jazz neck, 38.1 mm nut width Rosewood fingerboard 20 frets in excellent shape 3.4 Kg Hot Rod pickups - P-4D and J-5DR TBXTM circuit control - 3 pots (original "F" logo) + switch It has new Omega Bass Bridge Grooved (similar to Badass bridges), new Schaller BMF Bass Tuner Set, Dunlop Straplok Dual Design pins (only pins). I have the original parts too, in very good condition. I think it's important to know that I didn't make new holes for those new parts. The bass comes in an almost new Hiscox STD-EBS case. The bass has some traces of use close to the jack and a dent on the upper horn (covered with that small sticker), but it's in a great condition for its age. I'll send the bass through DPD and I prefer the bank transfer payment. Only in Euro and only for EU, please (sorry!!! šŸ˜„). The price is firm, 800 Euro, and the shipping is not included. No trades, please! I can send more detailed pictures on demand.
  2. Yes, it's beautiful. But it's my garden reflection on it too. So you can see how hard-working I am šŸ˜Ž
  3. Hahaha! So, this Zon is a little wh... wh... what did I want to write? šŸ¤”
  4. I received this bass as a trade and I was (and I still am) amazed how good can be. I wanted to keep it, but, unfortunately, it's the only one of my basses with a narrow string spacing at the bridge (17 mm) and I prefer 19-20 mm. A little confusing when moving from one to another... It has some traces of use, but considering its age (made in 90s), I think it's not a catastrophe Also, (I think) has a midi pickup in the past, so you can see the places when the screws were mounted. The holes were filled, but not in a very professional way. The bass has two "facelifts", made after I received it: 1. New side dots, much more visible. BIG difference in a dark environmental. The original ones remained only for the second octave (frets 23-24), so you can see the difference in one of the photos. 2. The back of the neck has a satin finish now, much better (in my opinion) than glossy. Not refinished, only "treated" with steel wool. Specs (all explanations for the unusual terms can be found on Zon's web site): Mahogany body with bookmatched Koa top. I'm not sure about "mahogany body". I received the bass with this specification, but the grain and the colour tell me it can be ash (please see the last picture) Composite set-neck, no truss rod Phenowood fingerboard 24 silver/nickel frets in very good condition (slightly marked) Graphite nut Dunlop Straplok Dual Design strap pins Schaller tuners Schaller 3D bridge Dual coils Zon/Bartolini pickups. The pickups setup system is similar to Alembic, so there is no lack of screws. Zon/Polyfusion ZP-2 preamp - 9V Controls: Volume, Blend, Bass, Treble. The mids "pot" is inside, on the electronic board (can be seen in a picture) 34" 4.2 Kg 17 mm string spacing at the bridge (can be adjusted) 9 mm string spacing at the nut (46 mm nut width) I'll send the bass through DPD and I prefer the bank transfer payment. Only in Euro and only for EU, please (sorry!!! šŸ˜„) The price is firm, 2100 Euro, and the shipping is not included, but you'll receive a new set of LaBella Super Steps strings, stainless steel, exposed cores (045-065-085-105-128). No trades for the moment, please! I can send more detailed pictures on demand. Please excuse these photos, you know it's hard to photograph a glossy bass like this. ...and I think was not a good idea to make pictures in nature.
  5. Sorry, I forgot! Itā€™s 35ā€ Yep, sorry again, no trades. I like the bass a lot and itā€™s for sale only for... you know the reason... broken brain šŸ˜
  6. For sale (no trades, please!) for a very short time, let's say until March 15th. I sell this bass only because a friend of mine want to sell a bass that means a lot for my broken brain . He needs the money very quickly, so... if he will sell his bass to another person or he will decide to keep it, I will withdraw this bass from sale too, even before March 15th. Ok, what we have here? A Mike Lull PJ5, mint condition (only 9.9/10, you'll see in a picture why "only"), full passive, Seymour Duncan pickups, Hipshot A-Type bridge, Hipshot USA tuners, new Elixir nickel strings (45-105 + 130TW). I put springs under the pickups, that sponge was too deformed to keep the pickups at the desired height. Original gig bag (Protec Deluxe CF-233) and papers included. The bass is veeery balanced, no neck dive at all, even if it's kept in a low position. It's one of the most balanced bass I ever touch. Adjustable string spacing at the bridge, now 18 mm, but I think can be maximum 19 mm. 35ā€ 4 Kg The price is firm ā‚¬2150 + shipping to EU countries. Due the Brexit and the new stupid rules, I will not send to UK. Please understand and forgive me! šŸ™ Now let's let the pictures speak...
  7. As a trade, I just received a bass from Vincent. Making "business" with him became almost routine, due the trust I have in him. He sent me a lovely gift too, a CD with his music (I like it!). I didn't send him a gift, but the trade was two of my basses for one from him, so we can say I sent a bass as a gift, correct? Thank you again, Vincent! Enjoy your new basses!
  8. I just received a bass from Jarek. It's the cleanest bass I ever bought, except the new ones (only two). I didn't found a single spot of dirt. I received it in a bombproof parcel, we had a great communication... shortly, everything was perfect, so... a big thank you, Jarek!
  9. New (and the last) price: 750 Euro + shipping. I just bought a bass and I must put the money back in the wallet
  10. I have a Takamine TB240SC, made in Japan, 34" scale. Strung with nickel Elixirs, now BEAD (125, 105, 85, 65) without any modification, sounds better than EADG. I love this type of bridge without pins, and his tube onboard preamp. Not cheap, but it deserves every cent, it's a perfect craftmanship.
  11. Original bag and AC adapter. Aesthetic 9/10, Functional 10/10 150 Euro + shipping
  12. I can send some sound clips for those who are interested
  13. Withdrawn. ...again and for the last time. I don't know... this bass is synonymous with perfection, I would be too sad to "break up" with it. Thank you!
  14. Due the lack of musical activity, I also have to put this bass up for sale. Like new, custom made in Hungary, 03.2019 Specs: Body - american black walnut Neck - flamed maple/afzelia, 34.5" Fretboard - ebony, green luminlay side dots, abalone dots inlays Pickups - Kent Armstrong Precision + Humbucker Controls - Vol (push/pull - bridge pickup series/parallel mode), Pan, Tone Tuners - Hipshot USA 19 mm string spacing at bridge 4.8 Kg Mono Vertigo bag included Price 750 Euro (only Euro, please) + shipping cost (aprox 50 Euro for EU)
  15. Lockdown amusement... Not show-off, only to hear the beast, I have not another sound clip. The bass was recorded through a Rupert Neve Designs RNDI and was "altered" by a little bit of Darkglass overdrive (PC software). Pan pot at the middle, pseudo-passive mode (active pickups, no onboard preamp). Stainless steel Elixir strings, not very new. Brown hair, green eyes. So, this is its sound when it's played aggressively. When caressed tenderly, purrs beautifully. EU Metal League - This was my life ( Megadeth cover) - YouTube
  16. Iā€™m for sale too. Vintage wood etc. šŸ˜
  17. Due the lack of musical activity, I also have to put this bass up for sale. I'm sure I will regret, this is the best bass I ever touched (and I had a lot of them). I was very happy to buy it back this year, but I have no choice in these strange times. Specs: - Body: ash - Top: cocobolo - Neck: maple - Fretboard: grenadilla, 24 frets, mother of pearls block inlays - Scale length: 35" - String spacing at bridge: adjustable, 19 mm now - Pickups: Basslines (Seymour Duncan) soapbars - Preamp: Seymour Duncan 3 band 9V - Weight: 4.2 Kg on my bathroom scale - Price: ā‚¬3500 + shipping, fully insured (only ā‚¬, please), used Mono Vertigo gig bag included (https://www.thomann.de/ro/mono_cases_vertigo_electric_bass.htm), not the soft case from the pictures, that is the case of my ex-KL6. - Trading options - Spector or Warwick Streamer (only if I'll receive minimum ā‚¬2000 difference), but try me, who knows... Please PM. The bass is made in 12.01.2001 (serial no. 226) and is in excellent condition, let's say minimum 9/10 (some traces on the back of the body, almost invisible due to the ash grain). More pictures and sound/video clip by request.
