  1. Yes, and yes. PM me with your post-code and I'll get a delivery price. Thanks!
  2. Yep, that's a long wait but it will be worth it judging from the feedback here - my own included.
  3. And another bump.
  4. Bumping this - it's a BIG bargain!
  5. That's certainly what Mrs. Scrumpy thinks - luckily for us
  6. " Sounds immense. I think, what I've been hearing for years in my head. Feeling pretty blessed right now " Hey Ceebass, that's the sound we're all looking for. I've finally found mine too - or close enough to make no difference! Hopefully the sound in my head won't change, as the cost could go from expensive to EXTREMELY expensive!
  7. That's true in terms of general styling but the Frog is a much more substantial beast. The more compact s-s Cazpar is perfect for me though.
  8. OK guys, never mind all this idle gossip about gear - Mrs Scrumpy has asked me to post the important bit: Mrs Scrumpy’s kitchen is proud to present TBFS-W Bass Bash 2018 Menu Tea /coffee served all day with homemade oat biscuits & scones (just hang on to your mug for refills!) Breakfast frittata at 10:00 Lunch (served from 12:30-13:30): Chicken & Ham Pie Mediterranean vegetable quiche Curried eggs Coleslaw Salads Jacket tatties – plus other stuff!!!! Dessert: Fruit Crumble & Cream Fresh Fruit Salad Banana Loaf Chocolate cake….. and anything else I can make on the day Enjoy!! As last year, there will also be home-made ratatouille to offer our vegetarian and vegan friends a bit more variety.
  9. Wow - that would be two grand well spent!
  10. Not surprised to hear that. Mind you, I suppose if you compared a home-build with an expensive equivalent and discovered you couldn't tell the difference, you'd feel that you'd made a pretty important discovery.
  11. I'd not seen this until stewblack flagged it up to me with a pm (thanks for that). All I can say is bring it on Phil!
  12. Yes indeed, I know Darcy well (with and without my Gillett hat on) and will definitely be inviting him along. As long as he doesn't raffle the demo Contour bass he has in the shop
  13. PS I had a long chat with Bernard yesterday when I handed over his Gillett Contour S, and you can buy with confidence from this guy - he's got a real eye for quality and only buys the best
  14. I love basses that are exotic and unique - and that's one of the nicest I've ever seen!! GLWTS
  15. This sad news brings back a special memory for me too. I had the unexpected pleasure of chatting to JR when me and my son unwittingly ran into a Kinks video shoot early one sunny Sunday morning in the Cambridgeshire flat-lands where we lived . (This was not long after I'd seen their live gig at the Corn Exchange in Cambridge, at which JR had played a blinder - as they all did.) The production crew wouldn't let us continue our journey along the country road they had 'commandeered' and invited us to have breakfast in the chuck wagon until they were done. We'd just demolished our full English when this powder-blue open-top Cadillac rolls up with the band in it. As soon as they piled out, Davies jr. was whisked away by the sycophantic production team leaving the others just hanging around looking lost. So I grabbed my chance and had a good chat with JR. Such a nice guy, sadly missed.
  16. Darn! I wanted that to be a surprise
  17. " In all my days of Basschat, Bassworld and what ever we had before, I have never yet been to a Bass Bash so have little idea of what to expect." Hi Sean and thanks for posting - just imagine a jeweller visiting Aladin's cave with a few mates
  18. If you think the mods are bad, wait til you see the rockers!
  19. Not at all - we love distinctive shapes
  20. Hey Aidan, as far as I know, the Eden core tone remained pretty constant until the new-generation Terra Nova product range came out - maybe other forum members could give their views. All I can say is that I really like it and I've ended up spending a fair bit of time and money to find something more powerful (but not much bigger) that sounds as good. It's obviously subjective, but the reliable test for me is how good an amp sounds with everything set flat, and the WTX264 certainly passes that test for me.
  21. Hi Aidan, and sorry for late reply. I'm in Taunton a few minutes drive from M5 J25.
