Have to say that his signature Thunderbird is much better value and given the comparable hardware on both, I can’t really understand the ridiculous price differential. After all, you get less wood with the EB0, which looks like a Les Paul Junior anyway.
My thoughts exactly! I did an online search for Gibson basses after John's original post and spotted the signature T-bird. I'm guessing that someone at Gibson has messed up the currency conversion on the EB-0.

Looks as if Gibson are doing a Gene Simmons in the same way Fender did the Mike Kerr Tiggar/Barbie bass.🤣

Offered as received new from Anderton's in Feb 2021 with Mesa gig bag, user manual and original packaging. Amp and bag are absolutely min and if you put this next to a brand new one, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Not many of these made their way to Europe before the the covid window shut, and it hasn't re-opened yet.
My experience bears out the widely held view that the TT-800 is in a league of its own. Twin 'Boogie' and 'Subway' channels, each with its own voice and full control-set including gain and volume - and even selectable HPF; master volume control; bright & deep boost buttons; output overdrive symmetry control; USB power socket... suffice to say that the functionality, build quality and tonal range are exceptional.
Price doesn't include delivery but I'm happy to meet at a mutually convenient place for handover or pack for collection provided buyer arranges and pays for courier.

Mike, I found your PP from last year so sent you 13p (only joking)
You can do that and pay the extra £12.87 on the door - but are you coming?

There are many who believe this is the best Electro-Acoustic bass ever built. When these were in full-scale production, players were selling what were previously regarded as the top E-A brands to buy Gillett Contours - I know because I spoke to many of them while I was helping Michael G out with his sales, marketing and promotions.
Bass 'Stradivarius' of the future? For just £1750?!
I've got 2 and I certainly won't be selling both of them!!

All PP payments messaged as sent today have been received with thanks.

Ooops! Done now, and Mrs. Scrumpy says you get an extra portion of crumble (mine probably) 😐

Right, so I've PM'd my PayPal details to all confirmed up-front Bashers. If you don't do PP, just PM me back and I'll send my bank details for a transfer payment.

We're obviously going to get the attendance we need to go ahead so I'll PM payment details to those of you who have confirmed you're happy to pay up front.
Thanks everybody!!

Depends if you paid or not!
What might not be clear in any of the previous posts to people who have not been to a bash before is that you can either pay on the door or you can send a message to @scrumpymike and ask for his paypal address and then send £13 to it by friends and family, in which case it is paid and you are then on the list, where you will be allowed through the security cordon as an express VIP *
Failing that, just send a message saying you are definately turning up and will pay at the door.
* some of that might be overhyped
Just for clarity and transparency:
1) We need at least 25 x £13 to break even, which is why we ask anyone who's willing to pay up front.
2) You don't have to pay in advance or even confirm - you can just turn up and pay on the door.
3) However, from the planning and organising point of view, it's helpful to us to also know all those who are not paying up front but definitely intend to come.
4) On the few occasions when it's happened, we've always refunded anyone who's already paid but been unable to make it for whatever reason.
In practice, the raffle always makes a significant contribution to financing the event - but we obviously can't count on it.
Any remaining cash balance is used for booking the hall (which I get at a reduced rate cos I'm a Trustee 🙂).

Not sure whether I'm in the 14 or not - I'm happy to pay upfront.
Thanks Kate, you're already on the list of confirmed attendees.

Where do we send the money?
Hi Stevie, when I get 25 confirmations I'll PM payment details to everyone who's confirmed. I've added you to the list.

I need more confirmations from Bashers prepared to pay up front.
Less than 25 = no Bash and we only have 14 so far.
Would the usual volunteers (and anybody else) please step forward?!

Just thinking aloud, but will anyone be in/around Taunton the night before the bash, and if so, fancy a pre-bash pint somewhere?*
* assuming I haven't fallen into my hotel room and fallen asleep immediately
We'll coordinate an evening out for anybody who's doing an over-nighter in Taunton - just let me know on here so we know the numbers.

Have been holding on about replying as I'm due hospital visit fairly soon. Just been given 4th October & probably won't be out before then. Oh well, new hip has to take precedence. Hope you all have a great day & maybe I'll get there next year.
Agreed, new hip definitely takes precedence - albeit only just 😉. Best wishes for the op.

I'll bring my 76 jazz along, bought from this very site this year. But mainly browse and chat.
There's absolutely no better place for browsing and chatting... not to mention eating. Looking forward to our chat!
