Hi guys and thanks for taking time out to reply, I was told the action and setup was spot on (not that I did it lol) I have checked its not hitting the pups, I meant the 6th freyt thats where it sounds like its comming from, I need to check how many frets it makes the noise for as I fret up the neck if you know what I mean , it is worse in drop d so I guess its catching a fret as I strike, wonder different gauge string would help? Thanks Ed In fact ill try it now...................... ok on the e string it makes the noise up to fret 12 then I have to hit it very hard to make the noise, I reckon the string is to thick lol but it bounces of the frets! Hi folks When I play I get a yucky clicking sound from the e string around the 6th fret on my usa p bass (when playing hard (fingers)), it is worse with a bit of mid/top on the eq, ive had the bass checked over and it is set up fine so it maybe im hitting the strings to hard, I never got this on my last bass, but my p bass seems to have a lot more buzz etc in general. I have seen some rock band bass players with this clicking noise and it sounds pants, any ideas, tips?, anyway to get rid of it apart from hitting the strings softer. Thanks Ed.

Hi folks due to upgrade I have for sale my tascam bass trainer in great condition. Now the lid has a little lug on it which is broke so the lid has to be shut with care but it works fine if I can get the lug out i will glue it back on or you can. I will throw in the power supply which is a extra when purchased although the plastic earth pin has snapped it works fine, anyway thats why its free lol. Just to confirm this is the better mk11 version of this unit. Also I have a brand new Tascam cd sp1 for the unit <a href="http://www.soundlightltd.com/proddetail.php?prod=5868" target="_blank">http://www.soundlightltd.com/proddetail.php?prod=5868</a> Great bit of kit Ill reduce it by a fiver every few days till someone wants it as its just wasted here so may as well go to someone who can use it! Ok how about £65, 60, 55, 50, 45, 40 inc p&p or best offer? paypal is fine if it helps! or chq but will take longer to clear. c.o.d is also ok First come first served Cheers Eddy

Hi folks thanks for taking the time to vote/respond. Ive run the poll on another board and up to now the results are quite different, strange eh! I think the key must be to vote before looking at the latest results! Like the thread Si put the link to says a band name is nought till its a band name! Thanks again keep voting was hoping for 100 + votes!

If you need anymore info to help you decide please feel free to ask away!

Thanks guys, to be honest its not that heavy the 4 x 10 comes in at around 33kg and the 1 x 15 @ 2o ish. I just need to sort a sleeve out for the tuner I just held back as I wasnt sure if I was going to slip in a radio set in with it would be nice if trace did a 2u sleeve with the same tolex covering to match but hey that might be a bit sad. My prec did have the standard white gaurd which to me just seemed dated I dont like the ever popular tort guards so thought id try the chrome which I think looks cool with the silver fittings and maple neck. Ive been gasing for this sort setup since I picked a bass up and think im now fully cured! or am I? Just got to learn how to play now lol. Cheers Eddy

Ok at last after months of searching here is my completed setup, now I know its new Trace stuff of which some wont approve, but I like the sound and looks! I was after the old stuff to start with but there was just something about the new stuf that tempted me! Fender prec 98 usa Ah500 4 x 10 1 x 15 Korg dtr something Its cost around £1300 to put together and about £40 in peterol which I think is ok. I hope to gig with my band project around christmas, a rock covers band with no name as yet! Any thoughts? Cheers Eddy

Hi folks anyone got any idea where I can get one of the above? Many thanks

I could not get the last one to work, shame that, shame its your x band I guess you must have been fairly popular! McCartney played some wicked bass lines but never seems to get much of a mention is he underrated do you think? or is he just not as good as I thought? bear in mind im a novice player lol.
