Just purchased a Mono Bass Sleeve. I have been looking for a decent bag or case for my 32" ACG Recurve. 32" is a difficult scale length to find cases or bags for. I tried the more expensive M80 but the bass moved significantly when the case was closed. The Bass Sleeve however holds the bass really snugly, no movement at all. The Bass Sleeve is beautifully made and perfect for this particular bass. I have another 32" bass and two more on the way, I may have found my brand!

Kraftwerk - TransEurope Express.
Good album, but would be very boring to play live, especially as a bass player 😄
I think The Man-Machine is my favourite album but this live version of Numbers is hard to beat…

Met up with Sidney today in order to sell him a sat nav as he cannot find his way out of a well tied cravat without a liberal smear of premium brand peanut butter on his stirrups.
In reality I met up with The Lord of The Dead at Bass Direct where he sold me a HX Stomp. As always, smooth deal, everything as it should be, a first class seller and a complete gentleman, deal with total confidence.
Sid tried out some cabs. I showed my approval for one cab with a thumbs up and my disapproval for the other by dropping a really tasty air biscuit, we left shortly after, honour intact.

...also, I think finding the right fretless is very important, perhaps even more so than with a fretted bass. I was all over the place with full scale fretless basses but as soon as I tried a Rob Allen I was much better almost straight away. Try a few out.

Question is, do I persevere and try to improve the sub-standard songs, or just play fretted?
Persevere Sir, I listen back to tracks and watch videos of my fretless playing and some of it needs huge improvement, but on others I can see/hear that I have improved since starting and playing fretless has definitely improved my fretted playing and my ear for intonation. I say keep going.

Both shirts also work well as a base layer worn with other garments. Then you just print the front and back images of the shirt design that I posted above and pin them onto your outer garment.
I can confirm they make splendid pyjamas too.

*CALLING ALL 32" BASS OWNERS*
My 32" short-scale ACG is a lovely thing, however, in my experience it is the one scale length that is incredibly difficult to find a good case/gigbag for. Any recommendations for such from any 32" bass owners would be much appreciated. If it helps this is the bass in question.

Great to hear, thanks. So get the basses you have playing well and tackle niggles that arise.
^^^Absolutely this^^^ buy the bass you like/feel comfortable with, @Delberthot is right on the money. Trying to play/feel comfortable on a bass you dislike is going to be extremely difficult, probably impossible but to tweak the bass you love to make the sound you want is much, much easier. My first ‘serious’ bass was a Jaydee Supenatural, I played it in a nasty, noisy thrash metal band and got lots of puzzled looks from other bass players but it was a bass I felt really at home with so that’s what I used, you’d never know from recordings what bass it was.-

When you drag that Shuker out it's difficult to confuse it with anything else..
Funny you should say that but on first glance I mistook it for the Dordogne and hurriedly got the family in the car to enjoy a couple of weeks in the sun. Mind you I was out of my noggin on space rusks so who can say?-

Thought of it? It’s bloody true!I wrote a series of lines and recorded them for a singer songwriter for a Spotify release.
A few weeks later he decided to gig them at an album launch. Asked me to play bass live. I listened to my bass lines before the rehearsal - couldn’t remember a single one of them all the way through!!
I am having exactly the same problem, listening back to several bass lines that I recorded over lockdown and can’t play one of them, not a one. Mind you, I am smashed out of my gourd on elastic spasm cakes so who knows?-
