2. Drum machine sold... awaiting payment No offers as yet for the Korg and Studio Projects mic
3. Amazingly this amp is still for sale I'd rather not head off to t'bay but unfortunately it's looking that way
4. Unfortunately, I'll be on my hols on 18th... anyway, have fun folks and hope to catch the SE bash next time around - Guildford would have been perfect!!
5. How sweet it is (to be loved by you) - Marvin Gaye / James Jamerson Absolutely glorious stuff
6. Thanks guys for the replies Jase - would be interested how you get on (b.t.w. you are the owner of the world's best avatar...that's one funky cat!)
7. During my latest bout of GAS I was thinking about either getting 5 stringer or maybe even just stringing a 4 string bass B-E-A-D ( as I don't tend to use the G string too much anyway...oooer missus!!) Is the latter a really bad idea (i.e. likely to knacker the neck?) or would it just need some careful set up and truss rod adjustment. Please let me know your thoughts Thanks Stu
8. Thanks guys - I'm tentatively looking at a BBE BMAX. Sounds like it's do-able if the price is right
9. I'm not really that knowledgable about electricals so wondered if it was possible / advisable to use a US bass preamp with a step down transformer via the UK mains Exchange rate could make some preamp deals from US really attractive, but don't want to fry myself or other band members for the sake of a few quid If someone could answer and explain (simply) how they work and any risks I'd appreciate it. Thanks Stu

13.
I paid £500 for mine about 18months ago, and don't regret one penny. These are by far the most versatile amp i've played through by a country mile, and this is easily worth £200 for the compression alone. Have a free bump, and if you ever decide to flog those cabs PLEASE let me have first refusal...!
Thanks Jase... I agree it's a really versatile lightweight amp... I'm also amazed at lack of interest at this price... if it wasn't for my wife's one-in-one-out policy I'd be tempted to keep it as a back up (b.t.w. will let you know if I ever decide to flog the cabs)
14.
Speedbump!!
Sorry about the additional bump so soon (bad BC etiquette ) but I've found a poweramp from a fellow BC'er and have dropped price down from 250 to 200...surely has to be a good deal at that price

16. Now open to offers...I obviously (unintentionally) overcooked it pricewise...just make me a reasonable offer or it'll end up on the dock 'o the bay!! The Studio Projects condenser mic is a B1... why not make me an offer for that, the Korg and the drum machine?
17. I'd really recommend trying any amp out before buying. I went to Andertons today to try out the Line 6 110, and despite really wanting to love it, i couldn't get a decent sound out of it for love or money. May be down to me (user error - there a fair few controls) or the new roundwounds on the bass I was using but it sounded very metallic to my ears, even on the 'clean' and 'R&B' settings...but then again we're all different so worth checking out a range of options.
18. That's one fine looking bass...you must be very proud (as they say)
19.
Hiya mate, Don't suppose i could tempt you to part with your two BBT210's for my Ibanez BTB 6-string could i? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...E:IT&ih=017 with maybe a cash adjustment from my side? PM me dude......
Thanks for the offer Jase, but I'm really after cash to fund new rig. Good luck with the sale. cheers, Stu
20. EDIT - this has been for sale for a while and after pairing it with the power amp I bought recently off Ed / Elliotminor, have realised how damn impressive and flexible it is as a pre-amp. On reflection the pre-amp section is stunning, but it lacks a little on the power side (not as loud as you'd expect for 500w - especially if you put it into cabs 4 ohms+) Thanks for not biting my arm off as it's enabled me to take another look at this great amp and find a way to make it work really well for me. Cheers, Stu <be>Yamaha BBT500h head</be> Very flexible class D modelling amp with wide range of tones. Good punchy sound and puts out the full 500W through the two 4ohm 2x10 cabs. If you want to change settings mid-song you can switch from different models via a midi footpedal (not included) It's all in excellent condition - bedroom use, plus four small charity gigs (we're not good enough to play for cash!). Reason for sale is that I fancy a change of bass rig (damn GAS!). I have bought and sold other stuff (as 'stubass') on the old BW, so don't be put off by the newbie rating. Would prefer collection from near Guildford, Surrey (for a cup of tea and chance to try the stuff out) or alternatively just add postage at cost price. Any questions, just p.m. me Cheers Stu
21.
Good to see you made the move to basschat Stu! Hope things are ok with you? Thumbs up for a great seller everyone Chris
Thanks for the plug Chris. Hope the Jazz is going to be making an appearance with you at Guildfest...great news that White Lime have that gig...let's face it, was never going to get there with me!! Hope all's well, cheers, Stu
