6. Roachford was on Radio 2 with Jonnie Walker talking about his life, He said he was quite happy about not being in the mega stardom thing. He seemed to be an OK guy. OK I will listen to the song and try to work it out. Thanks.
7. Hi all. I think Roachford was a bit underrated, done some brilliant stuff, they were big in the 80s then just seem to vanish. But Andrew is now with http://mikeandthemechanics.com/ has been for a while,
8. Morning all. Hope you all had a good New Year. And not too much Vino Collapso. Does anyone know the Tabs to this great song. Trawled around tabs sites but can't get this. https://www.youtube....h?v=oQ14v01M_cY Cherrs. Bill.

10. Well another legend has left us. Great singer. Sheffield will be in mourning now. RIP Joe Cocker. Lost quite a few this year. http://www.ranker.com/list/dead-musicians-2014-famous-musician-deaths/ranker-death-lists
11. Hi All. Thanks for the reply's. I will play this in Media Player and slow it down a bit. A keep at it until i get it right.
12. Evening all. I know you are not that keen on Tabs. But as someone brand new to Bass or any Guitar playing, I find them quite handy. Do you think these Tabs are correct. When i play them they do not seem right. Even for me it seems a fairly easy song to play along to. As it mostly the same all the way through. What do you think. 13.
... and yes I am having a bad day. It's raining, the bus was late and overcrowded and the cat bit me when I was tying my shoelaces this morning
14. Just on about the Quo. I watched the Roundhouse AQUOSTIC LIVE! - 2015 It seemed funny to see an Accordion playing away in the back ground, but have to admit the guy was good.
15.
Never mind that. Get a simple record you like. For me it was Status Quo... there I admitted it... Play it in Windows Media - right click and you get a little box appear with 'enhancements' as one option. Click on that you'll see 'Play Speed settings' Click on that and you will find you can slow the track you are listening to down as much as you like without altering the pitch. Play along at a slower speed, then gradually get it back to the correct speed as your technique improves. It is how I still learn tricky passages.
Well i did not know you could do that. Will def give that a try. Anyway the Quo are OK. Should be after all these years.
16. http://www.theguardian.com/music/musicblog/2014/dec/03/ian-mclagan-the-man-who-made-two-great-bands-greater-dead-69 Liked the Small Faces. RIP Ian Mclagan.
17.
Been with the band for nigh on 30 years and played that song at every single show... could envisage the odd complaint if we didn't! Hendrix's cover of All Along the Watchtower is simply sublime.
Bloody Hell Mate. Well impressed. Who's idea was to cover Blinded By The Light. Have to say it is a fantastic version. Great stuff.
18.
I prefer Led Zeppelin's cover of Rolf Harris's Stairway to Heaven.
19. We used to do a lot of Bike Shows in Germany & Holland. All the bands at the shows all played Born To Be Wild. The Bikers used to go crazy. They just loved it. Sweet Home Alabama was also a very big favorite. Good Day's.
20.
They also did a great job on "Got to get you into my life"..
Aye. Forgot to put "Got to get you into my life" Silly old pratt.
21.
+1 That's the one. About the only Beatles cover that's better than the original.
Earth Wind & Fire's version is quite good as well.
22. Every now and again a Group or a Singer will release a cover version of an original song. I very much like Manfreds Earth Bands cover of Springsteens Blinded By The Light. Manfreds Version. https://www.youtube....h?v=xJh47LybCkU Springsteens Version. https://www.youtube....h?v=yjxbOe7p8C0 What's your favorite cover version. Bill.
23. Did you know. David Hungate. from Toto played the bass line on the original "You're the One That I Want" recording. Mind you this guy is still big on the sessions scene. ‎
24. Thanks all. Better get some practice eh.
