Does anyone know for sure of the situation with Trump tariffs and Euro/USA Spector prices?

Its a US company operating in the European Union; USA bass prices are going to be impacted but the Euro situation is an odd one... or is it?  Does it mean that Spector Euro basses will be 25% more expensive to buy in the USA?

They will impact only imported goods in USA, not here until they apply tariffs in retaliation.

I think the comment from matbard was in response to my thoughts on the Epiphone grabber posted earlier. I think he was saying the Epi version is contoured differently?

Yes, my comment was about the Epi Grabber reissue.

They made the body 1" long than the original.

  3. Some Laurel fingerboards I had were extremely gray-ish, very unattractive. For feeling, they were OK.

I have to see the fretless in person, but I think that some oil or carnauba wax treatment will make them virtually identical to rosewood.

This isn’t one of the Chinese made ones that were just released. I think these were full fat Canadian built ones, introduced when the JT collab was first announced. Happy to be corrected of course. Either way, they did a limited run and are very cool 😎

    These are Chinese as well.

  5. Hello,

Seems that original Badass bridges are available again.

Is it possible to have an Euro Classic routed for those? I know that some were made in the past years with customer-supplied bridges

No, I wanted Rickenbacker pickups, I wanted this bass to sound as original as possible.

I understand you, but actual Rickenbacker pickups are not close to "real" Rickenbacker vintage pickups... The horseshoe pickup for example hasn't magnetic shoes but the ones in the '60s had them. If you want to get closer to that tone, you have to switch to something more historical accurate like Lollar horseshoe or somewhat boutique pickups like Creamery toasters.
