That’s the first time this bass is shown to have an AB bridge… which I‘d love to see on combustions, even though this is an all-out signature model. Intriguing.
Indeed!
And seems that the production bass has an ebony (or phenolic) fretboard -

As I dreamed that bass for years, I'm more than ready to put my £££ into it...
...but I live in Italy, and here in Europe the bass is available no more.
Seems that a lot of people have four grand for a bass- 1

It's sufficient that Sheldon put that bass into production! 😝

BTW I have to fully understand yet the usefulness of Channel 2, as I prefer Channel 1 by far...
-
I found "useful bass tones" (someone tells me what it means, please) with those settings, that I set up to create two almost identical-sounding channels:
I used my brand new AVII 1966 JB, with bridge pickup at 80%, neck pickup at 20% and the tone knob rolled off a bit.
I don't like cranking the bass knob on the amp all the way up, as the bass frequencies get out of control in a studio environment. I think 10 is the max level to have a booming bass sound (which I don't personally like, preferring more controlled and focused bass frequencies).- 1

My ACB50 performs great without issues.
Probably is a case of a bad unit (B-stock?)

that weighs approx. 25 kgs, less than a good Fender Twin Reverb that guitarists handle around for decades

Like you do with every vintage Bassman head…

well, I'm always hoping in a proper Epiphone reissue of Grabbers and Rippers and maybe RDs (not the ones reissued in the past)

The Jad Freer stuff looks really impressive, from what I've heard it sounds incredible too and packed with great features/design.
Can't afford the amp, or their power amp but still probably going to end up with their Capo preamp pedal in the near future.
But the Capo (awesome indeed) is a different preamp than the Sisma has. -

regarding the EHB1005F-AOB, make it 4 string and I'll buy it in a rush

This is a Studio ST-980, bolt on vs. real Musicians that are NT

Back on topic...
Any further info on the JT Combustion? -
I insist that the SH model has unique features different from any P-Bass.

remember that the SH signature P-Bass has a maple body.

The Neve preamp would be the real killer! I bet which "guitar company" is the one mentioned by Sheldon...
