1. Just watched a bit of it on YouTube. Well, when I say a bit of it, I mean the bits that I know would have interested me. Hey, lets face it, I am at work so watching the complete show would be taking the mick ;)

Anyway, thought the Pharrell Williams / Nile Rodgers collaboration was suitably brilliant pop music. IMHO, anything that Nile does is always pretty special so I guess that's already a given.

However, What I absolutely loved was Bruno Mars doing "Trevor". Again, top class pop music, a great performance by a talented performer and band and man oh man, Jamareo Artis is SUCH a great player. On the outro, the band stretch out a bit and he's throwing in some really cute lines but never sacrificing the song. Genius bass'ing there by the lad.

  2. My favourite pickup "dealer" Alan comes up trumps again!

Brought a set of EMGs off Alan. Great comms, prompt dispatch and wrapped as safely as a REALLY safely-wrapped thing.

    Deal with total confidence.

    Cheers Alan, thanks a million.

  3. Hi all,

WITHDRAWN whilst I reconsider my backline requirements.

For sale, or preferably for trade, my GB Streamliner 900.

Re: the trade, bit of a long shot but I'd like something a bit more "cleaner" and less "warm" so I was wondering if there's anyone out there who'd be interested in trading their EBS Reidmar or a GB Shuttle 9.0/9.2.

Had the Streamliner for a couple of years and it's been fantastic but I'm doing more functions now with the soul/r&b/disco/funk so could do with a change. The STM sounds flipping awesome with my Berg but I'm just after something a bit different, a bit more "EBS'esque" perhaps. I've got an EBS HD350 which I love and having a Reidmar (or Shuttle) for rehearsals/small gigs would be ace.

It's in great condition (only ever lived in my gig-skinz bag) save for a minor scratch from a misplaced lead on the upper surface.

    Original box included.

  4. I'm ummmining and arrrrrring (that's brummie for thinking it over) at the moment.

Really want to see the Maruszczyk Instruments basses as I know Adrian has said he is exhibiting. However, having done various guitar shows over the years when I worked in retail, my blood runs cold at though of the smell of grease paint and the roar of the crowd. Or the roar of the grease paint and the smell of the crowd.

Anyone going to convince me it'll be worth coming along if I buy some new knuckle dusters and charge the taser?

  5.
It surprises me just how many audience members delight in the sound of a cow bell.
Too right. One of our vocalists, Fedal, (who's also a great drummer) always introduces our cover of "Lady Marmalade" with a improvised cowbell intro. He calls it the "funkiest instrument of all time" and in his hands, he has a point.
