    I own a 4 string version zero issues, first time I have heard of this, the output on the 4 string is even ,if anything it is one of the loudest outputs I have heard on any bass. does this apply to both pickups ? The P and the Jazz or is it a specific pickup ? could be a faulty pickup. I love the sound of mine as I said very even sound on every string,with amazing tone in particular the reverse P set. Hope you get it sorted. great basses and very well put together. I am sure Mark will sort you out.

    I play low action on all my basses and the CST was easy to get really low, could go lower if I wanted to, right now it plays perfect just the right amount of fret grind.

    I used a bit of added high end on the bass itself, 1 o'clock on the bass just past the mid notch, rolled back slightly to the bridge pickup, straight into my TC electronic BH550 I used one of their double tone downloads for the amp.

    Hi Cetera, I have seen the unit you are talking about at bass direct, to be honest between my dark glass BK7 mkII and my Dug Pinnick pre amp, I can get any tone I want to be honest , I have never struggled to find a tone I would use or need, I recently endeavoured into Head Rush territory, another additional tone manipulator lol, all good though, The head rush is great as you fire a mono signal in to record in stereo out it also lets you use any external preamp as part of the sound too, getting used to that unit, it is very convenient, there is a lot of weapons at your finger tips with that unit, plus it sounds pretty good via most basses, My Rics, The Spector, P bass etc, but the Spector is a stunning bass in every way I think. Once you splash the money for it you have it, no regrets , it is a really confident , well built , superb sounding instrument, but I wish Spector would supply a hard case as standard at that kind of money, very mean I think, that part annoyed me, there should be a case, all you get is a standard gig bag with Spector written on it , not good enough in my eyes. thanks to all for the comments.

    I have the natural poplar burl finish, I like it, the bass is probably the best sounding bass I have owned, It is one of those basses you can't stop playing , it feels so good to play, that custom dark glass preamp is really good sounding, perfect with the EMG X P/J pickups. I love it.

    Hi Davy. Spot on mate, This thing is brand new it was £1100, I purchased it for a project that never happened, very impressed with this bass, solid construction, titanium struts in the neck, mahogany body under the paint job, birds eye maple fretboard all the edges rounded off, and those Norstrand pickups are killer sounding, it is capable of any tone that you might need, and the neck is just crazy thin makes it so easy to get around. Never realised how good those preamps Ibanez use, they are quiet but the sound shaping is incredible plus a flick of the switch your into a passive bass, It's also a Premium build instrument, Ibanez certainly know how to put a good sounding bass together, I have enough basses already, mainly my Ric's and Spector's. I am not going any lower than £700, If there are no takers at that price I will keep it. A light, well constructed. superb sounding bass guitar for not a lot of money that I am sure will last a lifetime. good luck with your own sale mate.
