1. Forums aren't a pension fund and there is no drawdown
 2. I'll keep an eye out in the CC's on my travels. Hope you recover it.
 3.
Pro-tip: don't drop a baked Camembert. It makes an absolutely horrible mess on the carpet.
Why thank you. Great community spirit on BC and very useful advice. 👍
 4.
Is this still for sale?
Perhaps it's on hold?
 5. I'm quite partial to Camembert. Does anyone know if it played a part in the cheese wars?
 6.
It plays better than the Irons did on Saturday. (but that's not hard, still, a win is a win and I'll take that)
Nice one..... As for the Irons i'll take 3pts at this stage of the season however it is achieved
 7. That is lovely the headstock design is superb!
 8. As a Hammer and a Maiden fan i'm tempted.....thanks for the pics and the report P.S. My back will not concur
 9.
Depends whether Rickenbacker becomes more popular than cheeses.
I sometimes feel that the foil wrapped around those cheesy triangles is a little like the Rick pickup covers and that a squeezed out tube of Primula akin to those dual truss rods.....
 10. Dairylea and Primula could really have their own forum sections.
 11.
I assume you mean the one started by "Bronner". Surprised the mods haven't deleted it or at least locked it, as it seems like an obvious troll to me. I've criticised the attitude of Hall and his acolytes, as well as stated how disappointed I've been by the Ricks that I've played, but they are a unique looking and sounding bass (the reason I've tried a few is that I love the sound and look, but ended up with a couple of fakers that suited me better).
I'm more interested in the copies tbh too.
 12.
Not to mention Hitler AND Stalin!
Bloody hell forgot about the dictators it was that many pages back.....lol
 13. Well i'll tell you over the next 10 pages.....the story will involve craftsmanship, truss rods, John Lennon and possibly Jesus. lol 😉
 14. Did i ever tell you why i sold my Rickenbacker? 😉
 15.
Gabe Nelson from Cake
+1
 16.
Life has a habbit of changing, We grow, priorities change, we move on. Commitment is something we give if we have the time. Good leadership provides a sound platform on which to build. Without change there would be no progress. The more people involved gives us a greater diversity of opinions and thus conflict may ensue. This should be embraced as without conflict there would be fewer dicussions. Basschat is a wonderful site, many poeple give there time to share their experiences and knowledge with the community. They are very much appreciated especially by myself. I do not post as often as some but reading the threads has tought me many things which I would never have thought to ask. Thank you to all of you
I like this ^^^
 17.
This sort of post really wind me up....I have had enough and am now leaving. Don't even think about trying to stop me. I mean it. Don't try it. I mean it.
See they're dropping like flies.....
 18.
It would be good if 33 punters turned up to my gigs!
Either / Or will suffice lol
 19.
Mmmmmmm, perhaps however there are some very busy establishments in my area that I would avoid like the plague. That being said I do still enjoy it here though.
It would be good if 433 punters turned up to our gigs though
 20.
How much did you sell it for, by the way?
Swapped for a Marlin Sidewinder?
 21.
It's actually 1 year since you joined - happy anniversary..
Oh blimey thank you.....i honestly didn't realise haha
 22.
Good grief! I don't know you personally and I have no intention of being offensive, but do you actually understand what ethos means? Anything that can be defined and pinned down in terms of rules and guidelines is the very antithesis of ethos. The people who have gone, or have gone quiet, are those who gave this place its character, simply by being who they were/are ... exceptionally nice people who like helping and interacting with other musicians. Any attempt to enforce "niceness" or "being supportive" is doomed to failure. IMHO of course. YMMV.
Well when you put it like that how could anyone possibly find it offensive 😉
 23.
Basschat was created by a particular bunch of people. Whether or not they (we) intended it, that bunch gave this place its ethos.
What is that ethos and who should be ensuring that the founding principles are adhered too? I think most people are happy to follow rules and guidelines but how can you be sure everyone knows what they are?
 24. I think with most forms of social media the novelty eventually wears off with any user. I think the demographic of users has changed too. A lot of people now read these forums on their phones rather than wait until they get home to open up the pc to look at a forum, therefore they have social media overkill and just need a break from it. Personally i like forums to be entertaining and not overly moderated and BC is fairly good for that. Again also you will see topics repeated time and time again.....i mean who will read every single thread on a forum? Certainly not me. I think BC is definitely one of the friendliest music related forums i've been on but all forums have foibles it's just the nature of things. 6
 25.
It's okay. I'm back now lads. Seriously...which members are we talking about as I seem to see the same folk posting. However, I'm quite new to the forum...maybe 9-10 months.
Yes who are the 'Good' posters please? As someone with only a year on the forum i see posts from the same people most of the time. Did they post about particular topics or is it their conduct that denotes them as good?
