peavey got back to me today, i was right about just snipping it out, will do it tomorrow hopefully problem solved.

hey, i use an ibanez SRX, lower range one but still a wicked bass, especially for heavier styles, nice loud sound and simple controls. a mate of mine had the SRX500, was a pretty good bass, considering the price aswel. as for taking a beating, mine is in fairly good condition, been playing it as my main live bass for nearly 3 years now, and plan to for much longer, would recommend...

will do. i took the cover off the head earlier today, found the chip but i dont really wanna touch it till i know how to take it out properly. cheers tho i will give contacting EMS a go.

im looking for a new distortion pedal, at the momment im using a boss bass overdrive but i hate it, never seem to be able to get the sound i want out of it. The guitarist in my band uses a blackstar overdrive, i shoved one in and it sounded pretty good but still not enough bass. I'm looking for a kinda Damageplan kinda sound but a bit beefia, any ideas?

yeah i had sent an email a little while ago, no reply yet from anyone at peavey though. I first though it was the cab until i looked it up online. Guess its a waiting game unless i get it to a shop.

I'm using a Peavey Tour 450 head at the momment, and its been cutting out whilst playing. I looked it up and found that apparently the first couple of hundred heads they made all had this problem, and apparently its real easy to fix, but i cant find anywere on the net that says how to do this??? Anyone know anything bout this??? Cheers.

Hello, My names Marshall. I'm 18, from Essex (Southend). Been playing bass for 4 years now, into lots of music, generally heavy styles, metal and grunge, although with my bass playing i listen to a lot fo funk/country and some jazz styles. Playing Bass and Guitar in two bands, www.myspace.com/prophesy - i play bass in this band. At the momment live im using and Ibanez SRX 300 (black), and an Ibanez BTB 405. They're not the best basses but they do the job. Amp wise i use a Peavey Tour 450 head through a fairly old and rugged (but nice sounding) peavey 4x10 cab. Only pedals i run at the momment are a Boss Bass Overdrive and Boss Flanger. Other gear i have : Roland Bass Cube 100 Kustom 16-watt Bass Amp Westfield P-Bass Beringer Bass-Vamp (bit crappy but good for home recording) Just joined this forum as i think its the only one in the uk?? not too sure about that. But hello anyways.....
