  1. Selling off a few of my heavier basses that i don't gig anymore. This is a lovely Yamaha BB414, 9.4lbs weight wise, fresh Elites strings, a few marks here and there but nothing tragic. Plays and sounds great like a good BB should. Has an upgraded Wilkinson bridge, i have the original too if required but the Wilkinson is much better.

Will also be selling the immaculate G&L L2000 in the last picture., £300 -can send more pics if required.

May consider a trade for a lighter 4 string fretted bass on either.

    SOLD

  2. Decided this too good to let go! If anyone has a second to sell do let me know :)

Having picked up a second Orange cab to go with my other this one is now surplus.

A brilliant high spec cab, lightweight, excellent condition, 500w @ 8ohms, nice custom cover

    Specs here:  https://www.darkglass.com/creation/dg112n/

    £375

May consider an amp head 500w+ or bass trade, - can add a small bit of cash if necessary.

  3. Funny how some basses sound dire at home, yet great in the live mix - and vice versa of course. So I’ve found this same phenomenon with my new Orange OBC112cab too - a little initially underwhelming at home, but my word at rehearsal it was thunderous, vintage sounds and just simply great. Now I’m thinking I may sell my Darkglass DG1x12 and get a second Orange….really didn’t see that one coming.

  4. Nice! Interestingly I’ve just ordered a OBC112, good deals at Promenade music. Looking forward to trying it out with my Terror bass. May sell my Darkglass 112 to get a second if I like it but the plan is to mix both initially.

  5. Continuing the sell off of unused gear this fretless is now up for sale. A fairly well respected bass in its day, the 80's Vox White Shadow certainly has the fretless 'mwah' tone in spades.

The good: The neck is beautiful and the truss rod was professionally repaired a few years back - actually i think there will be a thread on the repair lurking on here somewhere. Not sure what pickup i put in some years back  but it seems good and it does have a Sandberg preamp fitted, Vol, Treble & Bass - push/pull for passive. Excellent 'mwah'...i mean really good 'mwaaaaaaah', lots of tonal variety too with the preamp. Plays nice, low action. Made in Japan.

The bad: The body is 'dog rough'. It could do with a refinish although i used as is, albeit briefly when i found very quickly i couldn't play fretless well. It looks like it had a primer and was never completely finished. It was my intention to do it one day but never got around to it and then simply forgot. Stickers are easily removable.

Cheap nice playing fretless if you don't mind the body. £130 posted in the UK, will knock some off if collecting from Plymouth.

Used to do all my gigs through Eden amps at one time. The Nemesis 650 head which I sold, and I have an 8x10 450 combo which is too big for my car!

Really special amps. I wonder if this is a similar but in a more portable package.

Trying to remove bias as the seller,  in my view this does that 'David Eden' sound in spades - it's got that warmth but tight definition if that makes sense and like most Edens you just simply set everything  flat and use the Enhance to add the magic. This  EX speaker combination works really well too.

I've recently setup up my WT550 and David Eden 4x10 in my home recording setup and it makes me proper smile, but it will get the gig rig for the right gig. That super light stuff is for rehearsals  anyway right? 😂

    That's a lovely thing👍!

Thanks, yes sure is and a bit of a bargain if people knew what they were getting. A new American Pro jazz will cost north of £1500 these days. The Nordstrands really sound great too.

I’ve had some interest in fantasy social media land but it’s typically gone quiet, however they asked about the more traditional look. I took this photo with the various pickguards on I can swap out.

  8. Selling off 'good gear' that simply isn't getting used due to having too many amps/cabs etc. I'm also generally thinning my gear heard so will be selling a few bits over the coming months.

Amp: Eden WTX 500 W amp, lovely Eden sound and 500W of goodness, lots of flexibility - the control knobs pull out to give extra tonal options - a great small light amp that i would keep if i didn't already own an Eden WT500 (favourite amp ever!),  great DI tone for recording too IMO.

Speakers: EX112 x 2, these have been gigged but are very solid indeed. Overall great speakers with whizzy cones, however one of the cones sounded  a little 'buzzy' to my ears so i swapped out the speaker for a 300W SWR speaker and that sounds really good in this cab, perhaps a bit more bassy than the Whizzers obviously - but the both combined sound really solid and can go low but with a really nice top end due to the whizzy cone in the other cab, sounds pretty spectacular in fact for all genre's. When I inspected the removed whizzy speaker i could find nothing wrong, no loose whizzer,  so this will be included in the sale too if collected. Specs: https://www.edenamps.com/product/ex112/ - sorry the whizzy speaker in the pics is on the bottom and in the dark a bit but can send specific pics of this if required.

Would consider splitting as i happy to keep parts as i really rate this setup. Individual prices include postage within the UK. The 'All in' is for collection from Plymouth or could meet within a 50 mile radius. If wanting all couriered we'll have to work out a price on that but happy to consider this.... we all know how much Mrs Raslee loves her bombproof packing 😂

  9. Selling my lovely bitsa Jazz that sadly doesn't see much action these days hence deciding to sell - it is also way too good a player to be a wall ornament! It is made with high level parts and plays and sounds fantastic. I've owned 2-3 other jazzes over the last couple of years including a USA Fender and this one has seen them off with ease. My favourite part is the 2018 Fender USA Pro I neck with a hipshot D-Tuner - this neck is probably one of the best jazz necks i've ever played, super silky smooth , achieves a low action, and is fast. The bass also has a top loading Hipshot Bridge, my favourite Nordstand Pickups fitted, Fender USA electrics and control plate ,and a light Squier Classic Vibe body chosen for the colour and weight. All in all this makes for a truly outstanding Jazz bass. Nice and lightweight too at only 8.5lbs. It also has a custom pickguard but if you would like something more traditional i do have either typical tort, or a white/parchment, silver, pickguards that i could swap for. Also comes with an excellent and spacious Slickbag gig bag however the stitching has come a little loose (2nd to last pic) but an easy fix with a needle and thread.A few minor blemishes here and there but nothing major, worst being by the neck pocket shown in the pictures (last pic).

Collection from Plymouth, Devon, or happy to courier at cost to buyer.

  10. Barely used and an excellent sounding Markbass Little Marcus combo, taken in a recent part trade with a plan to move on (eventually :D). Better handles since fitted, including a side handle making this light combo an absolute breeze one hand carry. And it is loud, very loud!.....oh and lighter than a Traveller 2x10"! ! Perfect solution for someone out there.

    Official Markbass Info: https://www.markbass.it/product/marcus-miller-cmd-102-250/

Bargain at £400, happy to courier at cost and risk to buyer or collection from Plymouth. Would possibly trade for a Darkglass 1 x12" cab to go with my current one.
