Aguilar TLC Bass Compressor Pedal Description from Aguilar: The TLC Compressor is designed to give musicians the ability to control their dynamics in a flexible and musical way, making it an invaluable musical tool for both recording and live use. Our proprietary Trans Linear Control (TLC) circuit enables you to achieve unprecedented levels of performance, usually found only in expensive studio compressors. Using a wide range of attack times (10ms to 100ms), variable threshold (-30 to -10 dBu), and slope levels (2:1 to infinity), you'll be able to dial in just the right sound. The TLC has a Full Spectrum Tilt EQ for Clean sound and a low distortion at <.2%. *Pedal powered by universal 9-volt power supply or 9v battery. Not included. The condition is reasonably good, and I have tried to show any scratches and marks in the photos. I have also marked my settings with a black marker pen. I don’t have the original box, but I will make sure it is well packed and safe. £135 £5 p&p

Focusrite ISA One Preamp I absolutely love this preamp and I'm only letting it go as I’m seriously downsizing my music studio space. It’s great on all sources and adds a professional sheen to everything. I particularly like it for vocals, and it has the best DI for bass. 1 Channel ISA series transformer-based preamplifier. Lundahl LL1538 Input Transformer. Mic / Line / Instrument input. Flexible independent DI channel. Dedicated insert point. Line out / DI out. Switchable impedance. Headphone output with volume control. Backlit VU meter with variable calibration. High pass filter. Switchable phantom power: 48V. (Optional AD converter: 192 kHz - not included). Dimensions (W x H x D top to bottom): 220 x 104 x 254 - 290 mm. Weight: 3.9 kg. Condition is used but very well looked after. I have tried to show any scratches and marks in the photos. Bedroom studio use only, in a smoke and pet-free environment. £365 £5 p&p

Phil Jones Compact 4 speaker cabinet What Phil Jones says about the cab: “The cabinet is constructed from Baltic Birch plywood. Rigid internal bracing keeps cabinet coloration to its lowest. The four 5 inch “Piranha” drivers are based on our Suitcase and 4B cabinet. They feature ferrite magnet structures for un-compromised dynamics, extended bass response and punch/attack. If your style is slap bass, this cabinet will show how good your slap tone is. It has much more: it produces effortlessly the true tone of any bass or player. You hear subtleties/nuances in your playing you never heard before and your sound becomes more inspiring to you, your band and your audience. The C4 cabinet may be small; yet it provides highest audio performance.” The condition is very good. I have only used it for bedroom practice in a smoke and pet-free environment. £300 £10 p&p

Golden Age Project Comp 2A Vintage-style single channel tube compressor / limiter. Transformer balanced input and output. Gain and peak reduction controls. VU meter for displaying gain reduction and output volume Bypass switch. XLR line input and 6.3 mm jack. XLR line output and 6.3 mm jack. Link input for stereo operation with a second Comp-2A. The Golden Age Project Comp 2A does that LA2A thing, nicely thickens up, and makes any source sound big and better! I mainly used it to track vocals and bass, which it did a great job on, getting a more professional finished sound and requiring fewer plugins in the mix. My only reason for selling is because I am downsizing my music studio space. Condition is used but very well looked after. Bedroom studio use only in a smoke and pet-free environment. £415 £5 p&p

That looks brilliant! Definitely a keeper and worth persevering with (I feel your pain with the alto clef!! ) I can just imagine creating tracks with double bass on the low end, bass viol playing more chordal / arpeggio stuff and the melody on fretless Wal! Good luck 😀

Warwick BC 20 combo Up for sale is this delightful little Warwick combo that I got new from Thomann as an amp for teaching. I’ve only used it a couple of times and is in pristine condition. What’s more, it sounds great and gets the job done. The only reason for selling is I’m going back to using Phil Jones stuff (which is a pain as it costs so much but I like the sound and form factor). Details: 20 Watt 1 x 8" Speaker 2" Tweeter Passive and active input (also suitable for the simultaneous use of 2 instruments) 3-Band EQ Automatic compressor AUX input (3.5 mm) Headphone output (3.5 mm) Bass reflex housing Dimensions (W x H x D): 32 x 43 x 38 cm Weight: 9 kg Sell for £100 including delivery (uninsured - happy to arrange insured if the buyer pays the difference). I have the original box and packaging, so it will be well protected. Any questions please ask and thanks for looking

Micro-amps - which has the quietest fan?
Ian Davies replied to Bass Culture's topic in Amps and Cabs
This is a really interesting thread, I was looking to get a Warwick Gnome and also have concerns with fan noise at quiet home practice level and for recording. Sounds like there are variations in production which makes me feel just buy one and if the fan is too noisy send it back. I believe the EICH T300 is fan-less? A different price point and small but not micro. Maybe worth getting something with no fan to be sure if fan noise is a no go. -

Shameless plug for my Markbass Mini CMD 121P combo that's in the amps and cabs for sale section. Really great for the double bass, I've used it in jazz and music theatre and it's been brilliant. Plenty of power and easy to transport.
