2. £142 ? - someone picked up a bargain !
3. probably more has been written about these basses than any other model! This is a black SB310 made by ’S’exton ‘G’uitar ‘C’ompany Nanyo in Japan Serial number sticker is there but illegible - so i'll say - made in the 80's 4-string, lightweight, low action with a fast, straight neck, active P/J pickup arrangement with vol, blend, treble and bass controls, smooth Gotoh tuners The SGC pickups give a wide tonal range Small mark on the back of the neck between 12 / 13th fret - don’t notice it when you’re playing (well…. I don’t !) Frets are in good condition with only minimal wear I think its remarkable the consistency between different BC basses - I have four and they all feel very similar whereas every Precision I’ve picked up has felt unique Trades? - i have too many basses - some have to go and don’t need any amps / cabs - but if you have an unloved cheap electric upright - perhaps Stagg or similar them maybe we could talk? These usually sell for far less than they're worth - probably because the name has continued with Chinese made basses (which, although good value for the money, don't really compare with these 'made in japan' models Any trial welcome (i’m in poole on the south coast) cant seem to be able to upload pics at the moment - but i will add them as soon as i'm able have i ?
4. happy ending.... chap prosecuted - found guilty -- slap on the wrist -- joke! but I then get my GB Shuttle back plus my leads and its working fine !
5. As New - virtually unused - certainly never on a gig ! Great little looping pedal auto record / auto quantise / adjustable tempo/ etc etc (Trades? fairly specific - I'm looking for a Boss AC3 acoustic simulator) postage - about £4 1st class i would think from the Digitech site:

Store over 35 minutes of stereo, CD-Quality loops in 200 internal memories
Optional micro SDHC card can store over 16 hours* of CD-quality audio in 200 additional memories
Record rhythm loops and solo over them on the fly, completely Hands-Free™
Sync multiple JamMan Solo XT pedals together to create a multi-track looper or loop with other musicians. 6. out with trusty school ruler nut - 1.5" width - string spacing 11mm (10.8mm by my ruler!) bridge string spacing 19mm weight - 4072g (on an accurate balace) = less than 9lb (well 8.977lb to be precise) evenings getting lighter - summers coming......
7. Seem to remember buying this from the original owner 8 maybe 9 years ago The project at the time never materialised and it has spent time in its Pedulla hard case - taken out occasionally like you do a classic car on a dry day in summer ! My playing days are now pubs / bars / WM clubs and the odd festival gig and I'm not taking it there But it should be played.... Pics don't do it justice - it is unmarked Usual (for Pedulla) Bartolinis / 'Thunderguts' switch / Volume, Pan, Bass & Treble controls trades? -- maybe - perhaps px something like an Aria EUB upright bass - always fancied a go but no basses or amps please - enough is enough any trial - I'm in Poole if you fancy a trip to the South Coast
8. thanks flateric ! - but thats some collection you have there ! - r
9. happy new year to all...... no interest? no offers ? no trades ? and no-one know anything about this ? oh well.....lets see if any interest on 'bay.........
10. bit strange that it was 'sold' and returned (presumably) on 'bay couple of weeks back ?
11. couple of queries,, string length = standard 34" (nut - bridge) trades ? - not really (trying to reduce numbers !) - unless...... you have an EUB ?? anyone seen one of these before ? seems too well made to be a one-off
12. Had this for a while - difficult to hang on the wall with no headstock There is a review on Harmony Central - but thats all i've ever been able to find It has 'Jay Armstrong' and 'active' on the string retainer at the bridge - but it is no longer active so..... body looks like mahogany but not sure what the 24 fret neck is made of (25 frets if you count the zero fret !) pickups ? - i can see no identification on them ( the review on Harmony Central indicates 'Kent Armstrong'..? ) electrics - pickup selector switch - bridge *or* neck pickup (not both) - knobs - vol / vol / tone plus a rotary selector switch where each 'click' is connected to a different value capacitor (see the pic !) - the cavity is fully shielded with copper headstock / nut end - has a 'zero fret' arrangement and a system whereby you can use 'ordinary' strings - they can be cut and clamped - again.... the pics are probably more descriptive than my words. the truss rod adjustment is also located here All the hardware is brass - even the plate covering the electrics cavity and the strap buttons (and there's three of those - and the jack socket fixing nut ! - quality of construction and attention to detail is really good Neck - pretty straight - truss rod works - 1 5/8" at nut 2 1/8 at 12th fret and quite a 'chunky' feel - action approx a 10p piece at 12 playing-wise... i play holding high and its a bit body-heavy for me with the top strap button but ok using the button below the tuners sound-wise - no extremes at high or low end and i'm really not sure of the value of the rotary capacitor selection but a good clean sound which does sit well in the mix (to my ears anyway) well done if you got this far - but as its such a one-off i thought i'd try to be descriptive - but nothing can replace actually sitting down with it you're most welcome to come and try over a cup of coffee / tea - even if you're just interested ! - i'm in poole on the south coast
13. If you're looking - you probably know about the amps from Phil Jones ! if not - just check the reviews...... Hmmmm.... I bought this when i was having a brief (very brief foray into the dark world of upright) hurt too much so didn't last... I know.... i know.... anyway.... used it a couple of times with a flite cab for bass guitar as well for small gigs - one trip loading / unloading - great ! its in excellent condition - virtually unmarked but i'm now using a GB which has a lot more wattage and covers most of the gigs i do so this is up for grabs £200 inc delivery to (normal)UK specs and some blurb form the Phil Jones website (where you can find the manual) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> what do you hear ? Nothing. The D-200 is a digital amp that is dead quiet. Digital? As in ‘sterile’? Hardly. As with all Phil Jones Pure Sound products, the D-200 provides pure, smooth, unadulterated sound to amplify the sound of your bass...nothing more, nothing less. At a mere 2.5 lbs., the D-200 can fit anywhere while driving moderate stacks with 150 watts of power. A bevy of outputs make it perfect for jamming through phones or going direct into a recording or mixing console. 14. just to finish the story - the good news is that an 'on-the-ball' local bobby, whilst checking out the details of another case of 'stuff' on ebay (apparently - there's a lot of it going on) - thought he recognised the name of the so-called 'seller' - and, lo and behold, whilst checking his 'stash' - what should they come across but a GB Shuttle ! Completely false ebay ID etc - 500 miles away from his true address... Not actually in my hands yet - still required as 'evidence' - but should be back soon !
15. Well.... whaddya know? 10 / 10 for the local bobbies My Shuttle 6, which went for an unauthorised walk a while back (and was then posted on ebay (!) - long story) has been tracked down by some good sleuthing by the local police.... in the meantime, i've been through a few amps (well.... good excuse !) - but kept coming back to GB but .... too many still here so some have to go Here's an immaculate Streamliner 600 - I love the design - its an Apple of the bass amp world - so classy - especially with the valves glowing blue ! Sounds good too - just look at the youtube reviews - like the one by Ed Friedland (900 but very similar): skip the next bit - its from the GB website - but tells you all about it.... The new Streamliner™ design from Genz Benz is taking the lightweight amp design into a new arena, using the superb class D technology perfected by Genz and combining a new preamp section.. The 300 volt All Tube Class A preamp design is driven by three 12AX7 preamp tubes utilising six gain stages. The preamp design features an intuitive and highly effective tone network which is a unique blend of a modified passive Baxandall network for the bass and treble along with an active tube driven mid filter with selectable mid frequencies. The versatile all tube preamp exudes a fat and rich tone that remains articulate. It can be used to simply add warmth to your natural tone or it can be dialled in to provide a wide range of natural tube overdrive. Along with our preamp design that rivals that of many classic tube amplifiers, the STREAMLINER™ amps also features our proprietary 3 Dimensional Power Management analogue technology. Our 3DPM™ adds heft and girth to each individual note, while enhancing the amplifiers responsiveness and headroom. It provides the dynamic and 3 dimensional tone and feel of an all tube power amp design. With its solid extruded aluminium panels, CNC machined solid billet aluminium faceplate and smooth-radius edges the STREAMLINER™ 900 chassis emanates the ruggedness and strength of a world-class touring machine. This brushed aluminium chassis is finished in an anodised Tungsten finish. The powerhouse behind the Streamliner™ is a Class D amplifier and SMPS module, enhanced with our Patent Pending P.H.A.T. (Proprietary Heat Abatement Technology) topology. This delivers robust and reliable, high output performance in a tremendously compact and convenient package. Simply put, this new design offers a more streamlined approach to finding your voice, yet it still carries forth the GENZ BENZ reputation for performance, reliability and innovation. FEATURES

•STM 900 - 500 Watts @ 8 ohms; 900 Watts @ 4 ohms
•STM 600 - 375 Watts @ 8 ohms; 600 Watts @ 4 ohms
• SMPS and Class D power amplifier design • Class A Six Stage Tube Preamp (3 x 12AX7A Tubes) • Modified Passive Baxandall EQ for the Lows and Highs • Active Tube Driven Mid EQ • Selectable 3-Position Mid Frequencies: 220, 600, 2.5K HZ • Input Mute • Hi Gain switch • Master Volume • 3DPM™ Power Management • Patent Pending P.H.A.T topology • Full Direct Output Interface • Effects Loop • Headphone Input • Aux.
