8. Spend a little more and get solder with silver content, cheaper solder gives a duller finish. a screwdriver in the mouth works well as a 3rd hand. Wear safety glasses if your going to do this. I usually scrub the backs of pots before soldering to them, sometimes use a little flux to help the solder flow a little better. Always keep the soldering iron clean, and don't try and reuse solder thats already been melted once.
9. Mike Walsh at zoot bass in Witham has a paint shop i think.
10.
Very well! The first time I used it in the band rehearsal I was so pleased that I actually kissed the bass a couple of times Back to the topic, I guess it's gonna be hard to get the schematics... one of the reasons why I wanted them was to know what the bottom switch does (the one with 3 positions). I can hear the sound change but don't know the why.
Its a 3 way pickup selector switch. with the switch towards the neck if solos the neck pickup, switched towards the bridge it gives the bridge pickup soloed, and in the middle it gives both pickups.
11. Ashdown ABM EVOI 1X15 Combo ,500 watts, 1x15 blueline driver. looking to sell or trade possibly for an all tube head, but will consider anything. Comes with quality padded cover.
12. Status Groove Bass, sounds much like a stingray, slightly darker in the low mids, just as well made, are very cheap, maybe <£300 second hand
13. Just out of interest do you have a contact email address for the brickmakers in Norwich. I'm looking at gigging in Norwich at some point, as here in Ipswich its s**t for live music

15.
...they just haven't taken down the old website... Either way they're mighty cabs. Bloody light too - my 4x12 is a pretty easy one person carry (although I'm 6ft/15 stone). You thinking of a replacement for your ampeg rig danny?
I'm 5'11" and 10 stone and I find my 4x12 manageable, though abit awkward sometimes especially when it comes to doors. The only problem I have with tech/tecamp cabs is that much of the portability and lightness is undone by the fact they fit possibly the worst carry handles to their cabs.
16. does anyone recognise these celestion drivers? They are in a DIY cab I was given a few months ago. cheers
17. I have this exact same cab, they have celestion drivers rather then the blueline drivers, which is a good thing in my opinion. Probably a good bargain price is £100.
18. I brought one of these a few weeks ago with a little markII. And it totally destroys my previous setup ( 2x10 + 1x15 with an ABM 500). And I feel its the ideal cab for heavy rock/metal, where its necessary to move alot of air to be heard over 2 loud 100watt guitarists. This is a light cab which doesn't seem to make any compromises when it comes to tone and volume. I'd say this is louder then any 8x10 i've heard but a third of the weight.
