  1. Design doesn't look that special, sounds alright. Would much rather a Jazz Bass Special.
  2. Thank you for your honest answer Beta. Technically, it didn't work (needed rewiring) when I got hold of it, the pick ups still hum and it drops sound quite a bit, which I think is the output jack... I will contact the guys at the fan club. May consider selling it as a project (not a plug, just stating!).
  3. Introducing my Kimberley Teisco Jazz (possibley Jazzmaster) Bass Rip Off! [attachment=139557:DSC01782.JPG] [attachment=139558:DSC01784.JPG][attachment=139559:DSC01780.JPG] I came about owning this Bass from my father, who used to be in a local Jazz band, I got it when I was about 13 but could never really jel with it and never really comitted to playing enough hours! A fair few years have passed and suprisingly I still can't jel with it, even after teaching myself to play on my SBMM SUB Ray. It isnt in the greatest of conditions because it has spent the last year in a cupboard and before making its' way to me (8 years ago) it was in storage. It still plays, but the pickups hum quite alot. I would like to learn about it! Do we have any Japanese specialists in the forum? Also, on the neck plate, it simply says Japan, I cannot source a serial number on it. Cheers, Tony.

  5. Thanks for the warm welcome guys! I shall start a thread regarding my old gal, the Kimberley, once I've grabbed some half decent photos and gotten her out the cupboard. Bert, indeed I have, just increasing my overdraft before sending it your way . Cheers, Tony.
  6. Hi! My name is Tony and as the title suggests, I love bass! I live in Norfolk, UK and I don't own a farm but I do ride horses! I currently play a SBMM Stingray SUB 4 and I own a Kimberley (Teisco) Jazz Bass Knockoff, which isn't in great shape, but one day ill fix it up. Been reading the forum for a while, just never signed up. Cheers for reading and any advise to help me fix up the Jazz are always appreciated! Tony.
