  1. Ibanez SR 1205 Premium 2014 in good all round condition, a couple of minor marks but nothing major. Really underrated basses with the Nordstrand big singles which sound fantastic. Bought beginning of first lockdown off of a fellow Basschatter along with another very similar model with the intention of gigging them both together. They work fantastic as a pair but as I haven't done anything musically other than the odd band rehearsal since Covid struck I am reluctantly putting them both up for sale. Cash on collection preferred.

    -34" scale

    -Nordstrand Big Single pickups

-24 fret rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl inlays

    -16.5mm string spacing

    -45mm nut

    -305mm neck radius

-Mahogany body with an Ovankol/Maple top

-Bolt on 5 piece Wenge/Bubinga neck with KTS titanium rods

-EQB-IIISC 3-band eq w/Eq bypass switch & Mid frequency switch

-Volume, Blend, Bass, Mid, Treble with switchable mids between 250 or 600hz

    -Dunlop straplocks fitted

-Comes with Ibanez Premium padded hardcase.

  2. Selling my Helix LT due to not really doing anything band wise at the minute and when we do rehearse I’m finding myself just going from bass to amp. Need to release some funds for Christmas so going to bite the bullet and let it go.

Bought brand new this time last year and it’s done 2 or 3 rehearsals, the rest of the time it has been home use. Due to this whole pandemic it spends most of its time in its bag. As new condition really, comes with Line 6 backpack and I also have the original box for it. Collection preferred but you can arrange a courier completely at your own risk.

Shame you don't have the mint green pickguard still... If I understand correctly these basses are nitro painted?

What's the neck profile like on a 63 p bass.. were some somewhat baseball bat like?

Yes nitro painted. I’m not very good at explaining neck profiles but definitely not as large as some P basses. Personally I find it very comfortable.

  4. Hello, too risky especially as it only comes in a soft case and I have no way of making sure it’s safe. I’m honestly in no rush to sell so would sooner wait until the restrictions have been lifted to do a face to face deal. No trades sorry, I have too many basses. Thank you for your interest.

  5. I used to switch from a Yam 5 to a SR5 at gigs (19mm to 16.5mm) and it used to drive me mad. Played in isolation I’m fine, if I pick up my 4 string P it’ll take me a few minutes to adjust. I have a pair of Ibanez SR 5 strings (16.5mm) which I use for gigs and have no issue with them. IME I like my gigging basses to feel and sound very similar.

I was a massive fan when they came out and I was lucky enough to see them at Donningtion in '87. (The year two boys sadly got killed). They were superb and the crowd was going mental for them. I agree that now they are just a shadow of the classic line up.

I wouldn’t have hesitated to go and see them back in the day if I was a little older and my parents would have let me. Sadly now I have no desire to do so, although still enjoy cranking the old albums up. 😉

Guns and Roses. I have never seen a band that hyped so bad. The first time I figured with the following they had it must have been a bad night. The second time I saw them they were worse.

I was a massive Guns fan as a teenager yet I never saw them live as I was too young first time around, now I just don’t want to see them as I know they’ll disappoint from talking to everyone I know who have seen them live.

  8. Lockdown clearout continues, I have this stunning EBS head up for sale bought from a fellow Basschatter. I have a Trace rig and this is overkill for a backup so think it’s best to go to someone who will use it to its full potential. Plenty of info on these online, bags of power and a great clean head. Comes in a rock solid Gator protective rack. Please drop me a PM for any more info.
