  1. Thanks for asking - not allowed to drive until 7 Jan, and the physio sheet says "light duties" from 8 weeks and "return to normal duties at 12 weeks" which for me is 3rd Feb. I'll have to ask where playing bass fits into that as the info sheet is for "normal" tendon/bone breaks and minet was a complex fracture needing 4 wires/pins (which come out at 8 weeks) and a bone graft - don't want to take any chances. By the end of it I'll be an expert one-handed Moog player! I literally thank God every day, as it could have been much worse......😱

Meanwhile, I'm wearing this contraption 24/7

One of our sound engineers fell off a ladder and fractured three back ribs at the weekend.  Just come home, still with industrial pain killers, and won't be doing any bending, stretching of lifting this side of Christmas. ☹️

…….and in other news a couple of weekends back I nearly severed my left thumb with a mitre/chop saw! Grateful to the hospital surgeons

for repairing it. Thankfully other team members are stepping into the  breach, and I’ll play the Moog for some of the Christmas “feature” songs (fortunately I’m right handed)!! .

  3. If this was happening at my church, then I think I would want to take a break/stand back a bit, and if I was in a large enough town/city spend some weeks attending another church to allow myself to gain some sanity and perspective.  I see you are in East London, so there should be loads of places to go and get some refreshment? The bottom line is that we are there to offer up our skills and serve, but if the attitudes and approach of others are as toxic as you indicate, I don't see how that can happen without some sort of divine intervention!

You clearly feel very passionately about the musical element of worship and so I wonder if there is a leader or leadership team that you can ask to meet to share your frustrations - they might equally want to see what happens change for the better.

Thinking of you - if you want to meet up for a chat I'm in London Tues-Thurs for work near Liverpool St Station.

  4. Sounds like a lack of leadership to me. The kind of stuff you mention would just not be accepted at our church. The time for giving people an “opportunity” to learn or hone their skills is the mid week worship team evenings not a public service!

Loved this song since Elevation released it. Here's a short playthrough I did last night while practising for this coming sunday service. Have a blessed week bass friends!

Coincidentally we are just learning this song at the mo so thanks for the play through!!

  6. Elixir Nanoweb for me - pricey but they last for ages and tension has always seemed ok for me. Tapered is handy for Warwick’s as the fat ones sometimes don’t fit through the bridge anchor without filing the bridge or squashing the string with pliers 😂

This just arrived form Pau, France 🇫🇷 today.  2016 NT5 complete with fretboard protector. 😂

I'm charging it up now... then will give it a go and afterwards change the strings.  Previous owner says it has a 135 low-B... that seems like a piece of rope to me!

Yeah I like a 130 B String personally. That is a lovely bass and with a fabulous grain 👍🏻👍🏻

Spot on. It is indeed a 2007.

I like the ebony board and the ovangkol through neck on this one. The profile on the neck reminds me of the Dirty Blonde I had. Bit bigger in the hand but no issues with that.

Now need to find a Streamer Stage 1 five string in coloured oil finish with gold hardware to pair it with😍

You and me both, although I prefer Burl or Birdseye natural personally !! 😂
