  1. I had a Jetglo 4004cii last year and I tried really hard to love it but through my Barefaced set up couldn't get the sort of Rick sound I was looking for (always too bassy, and a bit of a weird phasing sound when both pups were selected to my ears). Ended up swapping it for a 4003 which has the sound I wanted but is nowhere near as nice to play.
Pretty sure with my new (to me) MB rig I'd get the sound I was looking for now.......pity I didn't know that at the time.

  2. Think I'll give this one last crack before the silly season. And because this is the season to be cheerful I'll drop this to £50 including postage. How mad am I?

I'm also on the lookout for a Markbass Super Synth so would be happy to include this in a trade deal.

  3. HK Audio Pro12....we have a pair of these passives, much lighter than the Peavey Hysis 1s that they replaced (and much clearer and more capable too). Can't recommend them highly enough, we tried them against the equivalent cost EV offerings and, for us, the comparison easily favoured the German jobs.

  4. Not owned an HH 25th but have played a Standard HH Ray4 in a shoppe. Daft question, but have you played it just on the bridge pup - I found playing on both pups was a bit muddy for my tastes compared to a single H ray4. Couldn't tell you if I was series, parallel or whatever mind.

  5. We've got a couple of tiny TC Helicon voice solo FX150 that fit on the mic stands......very versatile for both vocal and instrument input.

  6. Used to be when I was a youngster but I grew up and learned to appreciate music in a wider context....I can even see merit in Girls Aloud lol. I do struggle with a lot of chart stuff that relies heavily on loops and tech though....if a song doesn't have some level of interest for me in the lyrics I tend to switch station quickly.

  7. Posting this on behalf of a singist friend who's looking to downsize his current heavyweight CS800/CS1200 gear. I recommended the A&H PA12CP; my current band acquired a used one of these mint for less than £400 and it's pretty damn good with the HK tops and HK active sub set up we use. Unfortunately I think we hit lucky and I haven't seen another one available for a while at this sort of price.
I don't know much about mixer amps beyond the A&H and Dynacord so don't know if the Mackies, Alto and the like are as robust or reliable etc. Any help appreciated.
