  1. Bankai, I've had the 4003 for about fifteen years. My grandparents put a pound a week in an account for me from 1981. Topped up with birthday money and what not, it paid for the Ricky and a trip to the states when I was seventeen. Money well spent!
  2. Nice bass matey. If this is about when my student loan comes in I'm going to be sweating. Glwts......... Really really good luck.
  3. Yes! I love heavy strings on my guitars. I've just come back to 12s from 13s (I no longer need to be a semitone down). I know it's a subjective thing, but for me guitars sound better with heavy strings. A lot better.
  4. It's a beast. If anyone has a squire bass vi they want rid of let me know.
  5. I picked up a Waterstone 12 string from Ben on Friday. Lovely guy to deal with. The Bass is brilliant mate. Thanks for hanging about for me too! Dave.
  6. I keep forgetting and I've no ideas how to do it from my phone . I'll email you some now if you like?
  7. Yum! I had a slightly later one of these. Absolutely stunning tone. If I did more recording I would have kept it. Glwts.
  8. I need to stay away from Basschat I think. I'll never have any savings at this rate.
  9. Matamp GT200 and a Barefaced '69er. Gain and bass up full volume at 75%. So fat and round, yet still defined. It's made me fall in love with my Ricky 4003 again.
  10. Nice rig matey. I think I may know someone who might be interested. He's in Germany though. I'll send him a link when I get onto a computer. Dave.
  11. I also use a Matamp GT200 through a '69er. I've not had chance to a/b it with the Marshall VBC 8x10 yet (Monday is the day). I knew that it was going to be a good cab from all the reviews I've seen on here. I wasn't prepared for quite how good it is in reality. Just as good as my 8x10, but a third of the weight. Dave.
  12. They are amazing cabs. I've been using it with a Matamp Gt200 run pretty much full up. It doesn't even break a sweat. I got a Barefaced 69er from A forum member about a month ago, which is why this is up for sale. They sound pretty much the same, but the Barefaced wins on portability. Thanks for looking! Dave
  13. Hi Thurbs. Like a Mong I completely forgot about the pictures! I took some yesterday which I'll try to remember to post tonight. I have the memory of a goldfish. Regards, Dave.
  14. Ooooow, very nice. Never had a 12, but I miss my old Washburn 8.
